Margarito won his from Cotto and now Cotto is defending his from Clottey.
IF Clottey beats Cotto then that will be 2 titles that fighters beat Cotto
for that Cotto won vacantly. Not hating because it's the truth.
yeah but it's unfair to say "he only fight for vacant" becausee when he signs for fights they are champions and theeeen get stripped. nobody can take the fight he's fought real welterweights and not JR welters, drained 154's, or bums like baldomir/gatti. fact, the guys floyd has beaten, cotto has destroyed.

When were Diaz and Hatton "drained to a pulp"? Im pretty sure Manny went to THEIR optimum weight division. Oscar was a money fight, but nobody forced him to come in so light on fight night, did they?

But Freddie has said he wont fight Shane nor Cotto at welterweight, wonder why? Also why pick the worst lightweight at the time in Diaz when there were more lucrative and competetive fights at lightweight, wonder why?

Same reason Floyd picked the worst WW champions in Baldomir and Judah? o.o easy fights and about Manny not fighting them at 147, neither has Mayweather so what's the problem? o.o

It may be the truth, but it's ******ed. It's about quality of opposition not titles.

You have a point but Margarito beat Cotto anyway. I don't think
they mean that Cotto didn't have a chance to fight Margarito/Clottey
for a title because his opponents got stripped, I think they mean that
Cotto has won all of his titles vacantly period. He won the belt Paul
Williams vacated because he couldn't get a fight at 147. Cotto
fought Jennings for it. If Clottey beats Cotto on June 13th then
that's another belt he will have lost that he won vacantly prior to
that defeat. He hasn't beating any champions for his titles.

Pacquiao started fighting professionally at 106 pounds! The guy is a former flyweight champion 112 pounds for christ sake!

Fraud jr started at 130, hes a former welterweight & junior middleweight champ.

Cotto started fighting at 140 pounds a champion at that weight & welterweight

Mosley at 135 pounds. Fought as high as junior middle.

Do u not see the difference?

Floyd fought Oscar at a robust 154, also fought the lineal champ in Zab at welter and the man that suceeded him. But you already knew that.

You still didn't answer my question, who was drained to a pulp, and who was forced not to put on any weight after the weigh in?

Pac has already said he isn't going to be campaigning at 147, unlike Floyd. so if these fights are going to get made he'll be looking to do it at a catchweight. I hardly think he'd ask Valero or Marquez, Nate Campbell or any other fighter for stipulations.

We aren't talking about Oscar, we are talking about Mosley and Cotto, Judah, was too the worst WW champ as was Baldy, I do give Floyd more credit in beating DLH then Manny cause Floyd was right about fighting him in Oscar's terms, unlike Manny.
