Appears confusion about what fans are criticizing regarding Mayweather/Marquez

i dunno how you can definitely say judah's straight left is faster than pac's straight left unless you did tests or something. where do you get your data? seriously, I want cold objective data.
get footage from actual fights...
take pac's KO left punch against hatton and time that punch, then take judah's left punch from say... the clotty or cotto fight and time them. tell us the results.
also you have to consider that floyd already beat up zab in sparring, but floyd has never fought anybody like pac before. I think hopkins said in an interview that pac has a karate style that is awkward and hard to get used to.Comment

Just so that it is clear. Its not the difference in WEIGHT that people are pointing out as outrageous, its how the weight will affect JMM.
Floyd isn't Hatton. He's not Juan Diaz. He's not going to try to physically impose his weight, he's not going to try to bully Marquez with his mass and strength. So the weight disparity won't be an issue in that sense.
The issue at hand is how the extra poundage is going to affect Marquez's physical abilities.
Marquez moved up in weight and KO'd the Lineal LW champion in Casamayor and one of the best LW contenders in Diaz (Juan). Now, what is somewhat being overlooked is that Marquez was arguably losing both fights on the cards and anyone who watched the fights (I saw the Diaz fight live) noticed that Marquez's speed and movement has slowed down at the higher weight. The weight gain has obviously affected him and will put him at a severe disadvantage against someone that uses speed and power over brute strength.
Now, we all know the Mayweather camp knows this. This is why they chose Marquez.
Mayweather is considered one of the fastest, if not, the fastest fighter in the game. And he's fighting at a class that his body has conditioned and adjusted to. Marquez has not. Marquez has shown negative affects of the weight gain.
In conclusion, its not the height or weight Floyd will have over Marquez that is the issue, it is the weight MARQUEZ will be fighting at that is the issue.
However, Marquez agreed to the fight. He feels he can win at this weight. So we need to get over it and just anticipate how Marquez is going to pull this one out of his ass because somehow, this metrosexual wonder McGivers his way out of trouble. This could be another case of Juan "Si Se Puede" Marquez.
Anyway, just for those Mayweather fans that might not understand what other fans are upset at.
I really dont care how the weigh affects JMM or if other fans are upset about it. They can cry me a river, He's a fighter and is job is to fight and some of you boxing fans needs to get over it, I didnt see anyone of you saying the samething when De la hoya stacked all the advantages on his side when giving Mayweather his chance at stardom.
JMM should be glad Mayweather was willing to come down to 143/144 after a long lay-off and am sure he's glad.Comment

It's not irrelevant, any way you want to look at it, Floyd is still the naturally larger man, regardless of how he's gonna fight. At the end of the day, they're gonna land punches on each other and Floyd's punches will be those of the naturally larger man. It wouldn't be relevant if they were maybe having a spitball fight, but in boxing it is very relevant.
I'm only askingComment

I have a harder time seeing Judah's left straight as oppose to Pacquiao's left. I usually have to rewind, everytime I see Zab land that punch. The speed difference between both punches are noticeable and again, take into account that Pacquiao doesn't have a Judah-like uppercut or a good uppercut at all. Pacquiao is a better fighter then Zab, all I'm saying is...Pacquiao isn't better in every department, Feel me? So what you have is, Pacquiao is way more consistent, better chin, mentally stronger etc. Not saying Pacquiao is incapable of beating Mayweather because I believe he is.
u got vids of judah and pac right? so do a slow mo capture of the vids w/ a timer and post it on youtube or somehting.
make sure you don't cheat and really time it when they throw the punch.Comment

I wanna see actual objective data to back up why you feel judah's punches faster than pac. not to say I don't trust you, but I would really like to see it.

I'd really like to see if judah actually punches faster than pac. it will go to prove your point, if that's any consolation....
I have stigmatism in one eye.
but a timer would be so much more objective than using my eyes. ever driven on the highway for a few hours, then drive on regular roads??? doesn't it feel like you're driving in slow motion?Comment
