Pacquiao wins, but looks human doing it.

Berto has some technical flaws, relies too much on his speed and pop, but he's got both so he's dangerous despite his level of polish.

Manny is fast, too. Both men will have to be careful. Who gets careless first? Pacquiao's been on the big stage many times before. I say he keeps his compsure and the younger, larger man gets sloppy and Manny maybe scores a knockdown. Piles a few rounds on due to Berto's hesitation after the event.

Late, Berto decides to make a run for it. One good, speedy flurry and we'll get the chance to see Manny's size working against him. Despite his best efforts, when really pressed late, Pacquiao has to give some ground to Berto.

While there's some danger of Manny getting caught late, and finished by the speedier, bigger guy- I think Manny does enough work early, boxes with enough speed and just enough power to keep Berto hesitant, to win a UD; but not before people realize he's not made to gun with welterweight and he's forced to stop trying to compete at 147- despite maintaining his overall status.

I have to admit I've never been too impressed by Berto, he reminds me of Meldrick Taylor, except not as good. The way he got tagged by straight lefts from Collazo and the way Urango came close to tagging him with his shots makes me think that Pacquiao would catch him and probably do it early.

Berto's speed could give him some trouble but speed can only get a fighter so far, Berto is just too open to be hit IMO and for sure Pacquiao will capitalize on it. Pacquiao would also never let Berto get away with the type of holding that he does without making Berto pay, and even if Berto manages holds, you can be sure that Roach will insist on a referee who will seperate them fairly quickly.

The way Berto lowers his hands, gets his chin high, lunges in and his seeming inability to fight on the inside will be his undoing against any of the top fighters and that obviously includes Pacquiao. Berto also looks pretty open to body shots, Pacquiao is a sneaky body puncher and doesn't get enough credit for the work he does to opponents' body.

Berto is not ready for a top guy yet, even if it's a smaller man in Pacquiao and I don't think that size difference is that big, I mean Berto is definitely the bigger man naturally but he's not that big a welterweight, he's strong but not that big. Pacquiao's experience should be a pretty big factor as well.

And it'll be the first time Berto has faced a guy with the amount of speed or even the first time he'll be facing a guy with better speed, for some reason Pacquiao's speed always catches his opponents off guard, it's like his opponents know he's quick but they don't expect him to be that quick, and he packs a punch with the speed.

In short, I think there are just too many flaws in Berto that Pacquiao can capitalize on right now. Berto has a lot of physical gifts but technically, he's not there yet. Just my opinion.

Floyd has fought full fledged welters and a full fledged Super welter.

Lets see Cotto win a Title at 154..LOL

They'd dwarf toss that little sissy back to 147.

Fanny cherrypicked the sorriest lightweight in history and then started on Floyd's LEFTOVERS.

I have no problems with Pac fighting Floyd at 147 since, as many have pointed out, he doesn't really put on too much weight. Mosley and Cotto are different though. They will come in at 160 at fight time which is a tremendous disadvantage for Pac. Pac came in at 147 in his last fight and weighed in at 138, 2 lbs below jr. welter limit.

Pac should just fight jr. welters, but Cotto and Mosley are big money fights. Can't say I blame anyone for wanting the big money fights.
Mayweather fought guys that outweighed him by 15lbs on fight night.

          So did Henry Armstrong.

          WHY CANT MANNY????????????????

Since he's supposed to be so great.

If Pacquio is man enough to face champions without starving them would he beat Berto at 147?
Berto would kill little Fanny Pac.

I'm not impressed with Berto at all..but c'mon now.
