fear of 'the other'. Its what led to the holocaust and 9/11. And its what is going to tear this country apart. 'Immigrants' 'natives' 'gypsies' black white rich poor...all just humans who want to survive, i.e make some money to put food on the table. anyone who would deprive them of that should be made to go the places these people came from and see if they wouldnt move away.

Look at how the EU is going. We'll end up like the Soviet Union.

What are your thoughts about that?
Yeah but what made you think I did? TBH Ive been against EU expansion for years now, well concerning legal and political integration anyway. Stimulating cohesion on these levels is simply odd and constraining. I am however a big advocate for economic integration simply because up to our recent recession the pros clearly outweigh the cons. For example there is less competition and more certainty and cohesion in the private export sector of member countries, meaning these countries have a guarantee to bigger profits when marketing their products or labour.

I just wish the EU would limit themselfs to structural guidelines in terms of laws and regulations, at this time european citizens feel democracy is being tarnished simply because a lot of them dont know the agendas or even names of EU parlement members that are now deciding over their daily lives. Unfortunately the EU has been institutionalized to such an extent that breaking ties would make a country compete with a "continent".

The EU will not end up like the Soviet Union in the future because every rational or incremental policy has to follow a ********ic path and has to be beneficiary to all or at least most members. That being said EU countries have shown little sign of giving up more autonomy

No they are not. They are the ones you see working in the corner shops. But a vast majority go homeless and then get a free flat and money because they are too uneducated to last with a job. 95% do not know the language and have no skills. They waste our money and chances. They do not deserve to get treated as British because they are not British. You have to earn the right you don't come here illegally and receive money.

But the fact that the EU put quotas on how much resources a Country can produce is ******. The UK loses £100 billion a year because of this.

I think it's something like 75% of all new British laws are created by the EU. They're talking about an EU army next.

It just looks like we'll become like the Soviet Union. Where each country relied on the other.

True. They want all countries to unite as one. But not every country in Europe is even in it. We didn't switch to euro and we will not follow the EU into battle. UK is one and is the greatest power in Europe.

Theres a lot of ignorance in this thread, and its not just from one side.

BNP are racists, any sane person realises this. Personally I would never ever vote for them, even if it was just between them and the monster raving loony party.

However, this country has serious issues, and yes immigration is one.
