Berto is ideal, dangerous but and an ideal tune up for Mayweather and Manny can pick up that 7th weight division championship, making HISTORY.

Mosley is a bigger Welter, harder puncher and Pac and Freddie will not fight him at full Welter. I think they'd fight Berto at full Welter earning him the possibility of that 7th weight division championship.

If the title is the target, then let the IBF(vacant) sanction a ww fight between Pac vs the winner of the PBF-JMM. Any risk in between would deprive us of a super-mega fight! A tune-up is not needed.

Question, does Berto usually weigh in this light? He could do a catch weight but if he is normally heavier than this it coulda been on purpose to get Manny to sign to fight at a full 147 fight?

I dont see it happening for the same reason i couldnt see Mayweather fighting Berto to get his belt back.

If Pacquiao was going to fight 1 fight at full welter for a belt it might as well be Mosley. Berto presents all the risk and health hazard that a Mosley fight would...but for nowhere near enough money, and not near enough reward legacywise.

That's what I thought during the fight too, Berto can make 144, he's a decent welterweight and is vulnerable, if Cotto loses, Berto is a decent plan B. Obviously, it wouldn't be nearly the fight a Cotto fight would be but it would still be good.

If Cotto loses, it will be PBF or Mosley. Pacquiao has no time for a tune-up, he is getting ready for election next year. He needs a mega-fight at the end of this year, and his final fight would be before or after his election as congressman next year.

So I predict Pac really has no time nor need for tune-ups.

Arum doesn't want to match him with Mayweather this year, Mosley maybe. The big hurdle that would block a Berto fight is Al Haymon, Arum refuses to do business with him, he's only willing to do business with Mayweather because he'd be talking with GBP.
