U get overrated, forcefully created stars like Berto becoming just that a star, before being a great figther.

Shouldnt u be a great fighter first then become a star?

The one fighter that hbo did get right is victor ortiz.

Excellent post! I couldn't agree more. They act like their guys are the only options. They put the wackest fighters up ass best in the divisions. For we they had jmm (never fought there) and PAC. They justified PAC by saying he fought oscar there.

This is why the general public has such a low boxing iq, as well as a bunch of posters.

Cintrons problem at 154 is that 3 titleholders are big southpaw boxers. They all box better than him, and the other titleholder is pwill. That is not an easy division for anyone. This would be a prob for Kirkland too but I think he couldve worn down santos, who likes to fight.

HBO picks about 10 or 11 young guys they see have colorful personalities, and manage their careers hoping they become something, while talented foreigners like Hasegawa, Valero, Linares, and Dzinziruk have to fight their whole career with no exposure. Because they don't have a TV deal in the states, they can't be called the best, even though they may be the most talented fighters in their repsective divisions.

they said sergio is prob the best 154 beltholder, yet sergiy has a win over another titleholder. This is a hot division, they should throw some money around and get these guys together. Pwill v serg has been talked about for a yr. Santos v cintron or sergio. These guys are very solid fighters that deserve some run. I'm also getting annoyed that people keep trying to get pwill to move up in weight.

But the man is just becoming something. You must start somewhere. No doubt if he fought Mosley, PWILL or Cotto he's Done. Mayweather being that he is smaller would be a tough fight but Berto would still lose.

Anyway he's just starting out bro. As long as they dont PAVLIK his ass and throw him in with a vet like the names above he is OK, for now! The dudes young and is ma
king a name. I see good things for this dude. He has A LOT to work on BUT the mans solid. He can BOX and move with a little power. Hes just green....

On another note im glad cintron won. I didnt favor him to BUT im really glade the dude won! He's been the gate keeper and thats what he was last night but won. I think he was gased out at the end but because he started strong he pulled it off. Like I said I didnt favor him to win but he did and im glad he did!
I'm glad for cintron too. he looked much improved.

Get some is talking about the coddling that berto is getting. U say not to throw him in wit a vet, but hbo is already ranking him at a top ww. Pavlik was undisputed mw champ of the world, not some prospect.

                    mmmm

cintron looked ready to breakdown in any minute if he figths williams he will cry again, and as far as berto goes hes has great speed but thats it no real power and a suspect chin he should be fighting guys on his own division no more jr welters or mexican cops

I know but it was Hop they threw him at! lol. It would almost be the same if they put Berto in with PWILL or Mosley etc. Anyway I like the dude. When he does throw combos I was impressed. I really thought he needed a KO to make a strong point because this dude moved up to meet him. He will out box and win almost every round but I think he needed a KO. He can only get better and I'm def a fan of his.....
