I am not sure about that because they said last night the Cintron/Angulo winner (Cintron won) is now the mandatory challenger to Sergio martinez.

Cintron will never be in the big leagues again. He can't keep his composure and he's proven it time and again. Heck he showed it last night near the end. so when the going gets tough he will fold again.

it was a ****ty night, a major letdown.

cintron merley outclassed and out boxed a one dimensinal hype job,
and yes, i fell into the hype and thought angulo was good to,
but watching the fight you realize he is ulitimently, beatable.

berto holds like crazy, his coner even TOLD him to hold, but not to long so the ref wouldent call it.

i think berto has stamina issues.

Unless HBO is paying their competition to take losses on purpose against certain fighters you can't say they are a "created hype job". These dudes work hard to get where they are. Don't discredit there entire amateur careers and short professional careers as hype when you've never thrown a pair of gloves on and been hit in the face for 12 rounds. Have some ****ing respect please.

I POSTED THIS BEFORE THE URANGO FIGHT-Berto is going to HIT and hold(Stevie Forbes,Luis Collazo)his way to another EMBARRISSING performance.Bernard Hopkins waited untill he turned 40 to start this Hitting and holding S***T ,Berto is already doing it at 23!!!Team Berto know they have a g****fruit for a chin on Berto and they will avoid getting hit on it at ALL costs.Even if the fans have to be tortured by ANOTHER of Berto's HIT,THEN HOLD,THEN DECIDE TO HIT AGAIN,HOLD ON,ALL FIGHT!!!Its illegal, but it makes a fight about half as much ACTION and a 20th amount of the punches that would land on Berto had he not employed the illegal(HIT AND HOLD )STYLE.If he does it tonight too, thats Forbes,Collazo, now Berto,if he's doing this to these Jr welters you can bet its HIT AND HOLD from here on out. 30.05.09 @ 17:27:11

dudes you gotta have mad respect for Cintron when they asked if they thought marg used plaster in his gloves vs him. He could have said I felt something was different in those fight's and made an excuse for his losses but didn't... i mean he might be emo, just means he cares about being successful, but he's got class too.

I think he needs to start focusing on building up on his abilities as opposed to relying too much on his natural ones... apparently Ronnie Sheilds was doing his job!

and it's no discredit to Manny Steward, but I think it's not so much the hyped trainers but the trainers that can get the most out of their fighters...

U get overrated, forcefully created stars like Berto becoming just that a star, before being a great figther.

Shouldnt u be a great fighter first then become a star?

The one fighter that hbo did get right is victor ortiz.

The one fighter whose closest to breaking out as a star & can actually fight is sitting in federal custody.
lol man you hate on everyone! BERTO's no star. I mean I GUESS if you fight on HBO that makes you some what of a "star" thats getting somewhat paid apose to an ESPN fighter or worse.

But the man is just becoming something. You must start somewhere. No doubt if he fought Mosley, PWILL or Cotto he's Done. Mayweather being that he is smaller would be a tough fight but Berto would still lose.

Anyway he's just starting out bro. As long as they dont PAVLIK his ass and throw him in with a vet like the names above he is OK, for now! The dudes young and is making a name. I see good things for this dude. He has A LOT to work on BUT the mans solid. He can BOX and move with a little power. Hes just green....

On another note im glad cintron won. I didnt favor him to BUT im really glade the dude won! He's been the gate keeper and thats what he was last night but won. I think he was gased out at the end but because he started strong he pulled it off. Like I said I didnt favor him to win but he did and im glad he did!
