What makes Berto SOOOOO much better than Urango?

Also the move up for Urango was something they had to do. He was burning out trying to make 140.

all the alphabet belts are jokes, so you should hardly consider those fighters champions.

the real champ at 147 is Mosley, Berto is just a top ten guy working his way up in the rankings.

Berto's ready, and i honestly believe he wants to fight the big names. I just dont think his promoter dibella wants him too. I mean there is no one else he can fight that can get him "ready". He's fought every type of contender, former champ, and elimination type ppl you can.

In many cases I agree with the initial point made in this thread, but not in this particular situation. Berto isn't among the 5 best Welterweights in the world in my opinion. Urango is a reasonable opponent here and this is a chance for Berto to showcase his skill against Urango's power. I haven't looked at the stats, but there can't be much of a size difference at all here as Urango was a massive 140 fighter. Both of these guys are top heavy and sport similar muscular builds. Should be entertaining unless Urango can't pull the trigger all night.

Urango is def not a small welterweight and ur right about their being little size difference between the two. I honestly dont know how he made 140 for so long. That guy had some muscle on him.

BROAD back on that guy. He seemingly had small legs though. Maybe he just has popcorn muscles like Joey Porter

Nothin wrong wit the Urango fight, I just think Collazo shoulda gotten a rematch.

He priced himself out, Berto wanted it and was inviting it(the rematch).

TS, "at least try to unify", he can't unify with anyone right now. Dibella reached out to Mosley(WBA Champion) for a fight and Mosley didn't want it. Cottey was IBF champ but was stripped for not facing his mandatory. When Clottey was stripped(no ****), he already had a verbal deal with Cotto(WBO Champion).

Unless Dibella looks for the IBO Champion whoever that is, there is no unification bout available for Berto right now. Urango is a more than formidable and durable opponent, and although he comes forward and is one-dimensional, he's def a tough test for Berto.
