While the weights are unofficial, they are still accurate. It's not like HBO is guestimating the weight. Being unofficial, the fighters have the option of declining to weigh in on fight night.

Its an official weight for HBO on fight night, HBO have there own scale and they ask fighters to jump on it with only a boxer shorts on it.

Correct. They bring a scale into the dressing room. Although not on the "official" scale, I'm sure they are accurate within a half-pound or so. Its not a cheap bathroom scale from Kmart or anything.........

IT is still unofficial...............its not sanctioned.............not mandatory......................no proper representatio from all concerned parties...............it aint guesstimation....................but it aint official either..................unless they change th rules........................it may be accurate most of the times just like ledermen.....but it aint official.......................

Maybe, maybe not. With my experience with my own weigh-ins for martial arts tournaments and ncaa wrestling...when not calibrated correctly even those scales can be as far as 4lbs off from the exact same model scale in a different location.
