Floyd didn't necessarily destroy Hatton and Oscar like the public saw Manny do. What's pissing Floyd off so bad is the public perception. He's envious of Pacquiao regardless of what "facts" you'd like to lay out on the table. The bottom line is the public saw Floyd have a close fight with Oscar and a one sided fight with Hatton. With Pacquiao, they saw 2 guys made to look like tomato cans. People aren't waving the white flag screaming "Oscar was weight drained" or "Hatton was shot". What they're actually screaming is, "Pacquia is THAT dude right now!!"...and thats killin Floyd and his fans as evident in yours and many of his fans' posts. Its quite amusing from time to time.

i havent posted, but if i was mayweather, i would be jealous as hell, jealousy helps fuel the sport, it creates a certain sense of passion and ignites interesting stories for the prefight. There is nothing wrong with floyd feeling jealous, we want that, because it forces him to go out and show hes better, win or lose, i cant fault him for not feeling complacent.Floyd didn't necessarily destroy Hatton and Oscar like the public saw Manny do. Well I don't think jealousy would be the best remedy in prepping for a fight more than actually KNOWING you can beat that individual.i havent posted, but if i was mayweather, i would be jealous as hell, jealousy helps fuel the sport, it creates a certain sense of passion and ignites interesting stories for the prefight. I wasn't speaking for all Floyd fans, but more of those who simply know nothing about boxing and follow Floyd based on the character he portrays. You seem to be more on the unbiased side of things while still being a fan which is cool.Comment

Yes,BUT, what gets me is if he is so great it shouldn't take jealously to force him to fight elite fighters , HE OUGHT TO WANT TO GO AND FIGHT ALL THE ELITES TO PROVE He's AN ALL TIME GREAT. He is so afraid to LOSE ! I personally think he is all about MONEY !i havent posted, but if i was mayweather, i would be jealous as hell, jealousy helps fuel the sport, it creates a certain sense of passion and ignites interesting stories for the prefight. Mayweather is a ***** and a bum chaser.
FACT: over 90% of ALL of Mayweathers opponents had a height and a reach disadvantage making him the bigger man of virtually ALL his opponents save a few.
Only Tony Pep, Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Phillip N'dou, and Oscar De La Hoya were "bigger" than Floyd. You mean to tell me out of 39 fights, it's just coincedental that only 5 hold a hheight and reach advantage over Floyd? (Corrales having a height advantage but arms 2 inches shorter)
Is anyone suprised Floyd is fight JMM and targeting Manny next? Floyd is BITCHMADE, period!!!!Comment

Those fights were at 125 and 130. JMM hasn't been able to put on weight nearly as effectively as Floyd or Pac have - he was physically dominated at 135 and was only able to win at that weight because of his superior skills. Pac and Floyd have never been physically dominated.Last edited by Dave Rado; 05-31-2009, 01:19 PM.Comment

You missed the irony. I was responding to a ridiculous hater post with a flippant ridiculous hater post from the opposite extreme. In any case, most impartial fight fans would say without any irony that Pac is the most exciting fighter of the last 6 years and that he has the best résumé during that period. And skills don't always win fights. Floyd will be the favourite to win if they meet, but not an overwhelming favourite.Last edited by Dave Rado; 05-31-2009, 01:07 PM.Comment

IMO, it will only be a boring fight to those who need to see blood and guts in order to be entertained. I think it will be a chess match but a fascinating chess match. JMM always fights with a lot of heart, and Floyd has never faced such a clever counter-puncher before, which he'll have to find a way to solve. The weight disparity means JMM doesn't have much realistic chance of winning, but IMO he'll still give Floyd far more problems than Jennings gave Cotto. It's a reasonable tune-up after a long break from the ring, IMO. He should be judged on who he fights next, not on this fight, and I think it'll be a very good fight.Comment
