he did duck him, although I'm not sure how big of a deal lennox was at the time.
Regardless, I'm glad he didn't fight lennox at the time because we got one of the best trilogies of all time in Bowe vs holyfield. History I'm sure would have been altered dramatically, for better or worse I dunno.Comment

There was an agreement that the winner of Lewis-Ruddock would fight the winner of Bowe-Holyfield I.
The boxing world awaited it.
Then Bowe and Newman backed on the agreement and dumped the green belt in the garbage.Comment

Lewis vs Bowe wouldn't have been anywhere near as good as Holy vs Bowe became.Comment

I think that it was a question of money. The risk/reward ratio just wasn't there according to Bowe/Newman.
It's the same today with Dawson and Diaconu/Cloud.Comment
