    TOP 10 PPV Fights...
    1- DLH / Mayweather = 2.4 mil
    2- Holyfield / Tyson (rematch) = 1.99 mil
    3- Lewis / Tyson - 1.97 mil
    4- Holyfield / Tyson = 1.59 mil
    5- Tyson / McNeely = 1.55 mil (1st fight out of jail)
    6- DLH / Tito = 1.4 mil
    7- Foreman / Holyfield = 1.4 mil
    8- Tyson / Bruno = 1.37 (won WBC belt)
    9- Pac / DLH = 1.25 mil
10- Tyson / Rudduck = 1.25 mil (how and why?)

    Let's take a look at Floyd's last 5 fights......
Floyd / DLH = DLH was main draw....
Floyd / Hatton = 915K (pretty even draw there)
Floyd / Baldomir = 325K (Baldomir was "champ" lol! and Floyd was EXPECTED to beat him down)
Floyd / Zab = 350K (Great matchup and Zab gave him the MOST trouble, but just couldn't keep focused)
Floyd / Gatti = 340K (Again....EXPECTED to beat down Gatti)
and before the Gatti fight....he was and HBO fighter.....if you are expected to beat down another fighter or if you are the heavily favored...why wouldn't people want to pay to see a "clinic"....easy answer...because you ARE NOT AN ATTRACTION....FLoyd fan's...please thank Uncle Oscar for your riches...I guess that explains why he has a 5 Fight Deal with GPB....he needs their name and promotional skills......DISCUSS?
you're a dummy. it takes TWO fighters to sell a fight. that fight is the richest fight in history. 2 and a half ppl didn't buy that fight just to see oscar. quit hatin.

Floyd may not be "the" cash cow but he is one of the top two depending on who you favor and what numbers you believe. Who right now is a bigger draw than Floyd Mayweather? Manny, who else? Ricky Hatton who probably won't fight anymore. Oscar who hopefully is retire forever.

You're the dummy...the title of the thread is: Floyd will never be the "cash cow"....not De La Fought a shadow....of course it takes TWO people to sell a fight....the FANS bought that fight on the strength that DLH would be the one to give Mayweather his 1st Loss....the Marketing and Promoting of the fight was THEE BEST EVER for a fight....(24/7 debut, US wide: 11 cities promotinoal tour, endless press confrences...etc) BUT...you can't tell me that Floyd was the one who put all that together.....he signed the contract after he saw the guaranteed zeroes going to his bank account. Ask anyone who bought that fight.....#1 reason they bought it....They thought DLH could win against Floyd and give him his 1st "L".

Not "hatin".....facts are facts....great marketing and promotion = record PPV numbers. Plus the economy wasn't in the ****hole it is now....

As I have agreed with MANGLER earlier....
Floyd will ONLY BE A DRAW UNTIL HE GETS HIS 1st LOSS.....that is why people are drawn to him....if and when he gets his 1st Loss....that fighter should be Floyd's "arch-rival" (made another thread about that topic)....and he could really be great IF he chooses to have a rematch or even a trilogy war with that fighter (Cotto). But...if Manny loses again....guaranteed he will still have draw numbers....even if Oscar came back to fight a A level fighter (not an elite fighter cuz he would get KTFO) he would do decent PPV numbers (in the 400K to 500K range). Ricky is only a draw in the UK....and when he fights in the US his PPV numbers rival Zab Judah's....

Manny has already many "L's" on his resume....but he is still a draw....DLH has many "L's" but was still a draw.....we will see once Floyd get's his "L" if he will still be a draw...

Did that fight really do that much? I thought everyone didn't really think Foreman had a chance in hell because of his age.

Hey...George Big Grillz Foreman was 42yrs old in that fight....Evander was in his prime if not still peaking....was for unification of the belts...(back when it mattered) and yes...nobody gave George a shot in hell...but it was two GREAT HEAVYWEIGHTS fighting....Grillz came into the fight weighing 250+lbs...while the "Real Deal" came in just a tad over 200lbs....freaking 50lbs difference?!?!?!?!?! Come one now....who wouldn't pay to see a freakshow of a fight like that....and the smaller man dominated....(hmmm....DLH/ PAC...hahaha).

If they watched the fight "here"....british PPV buys are not typically included when finalizing PPV numbers here in the US....unless stated in that article...
example....Hatton / Mayweather did 915K US PPV buys...but over in UK..it did well over 1 mil PPV buys......Mayweather's deal with Hatton was...I believe 60/40 of US PPV buys...and a portion of the UK buys....(UK did 1 mil PPV buys)...Pac's deal with Hatton was 52/48 of ALL PPV buys....in the US that did 850K PPV buys...but over in the UK it supposedly did another 800K+ PPV buys....Manny got the better end of the deal in my opinion....especially since the Euro is worth more than my greenback....
