Floyd will NEVER be the "cash cow" in boxing...

Yes...he did very well in his last two fights...but HE WAS NOT the attraction...
vs. DLH...it was DLH's star power who generated the PPV numbers....vs. Hatton...it was the Brits who contributed to the PPV numbers...
    TOP 10 PPV Fights...
    1- DLH / Mayweather = 2.4 mil
    2- Holyfield / Tyson (rematch) = 1.99 mil
    3- Lewis / Tyson - 1.97 mil
    4- Holyfield / Tyson = 1.59 mil
    5- Tyson / McNeely = 1.55 mil (1st fight out of jail)
    6- DLH / Tito = 1.4 mil
    7- Foreman / Holyfield = 1.4 mil
    8- Tyson / Bruno = 1.37 (won WBC belt)
    9- Pac / DLH = 1.25 mil
10- Tyson / Rudduck = 1.25 mil (how and why?)

    Let's take a look at Floyd's last 5 fights......
Floyd / DLH = DLH was main draw....
Floyd / Hatton = 915K (pretty even draw there)
Floyd / Baldomir = 325K (Baldomir was "champ" lol! and Floyd was EXPECTED to beat him down)
Floyd / Zab = 350K (Great matchup and Zab gave him the MOST trouble, but just couldn't keep focused)
Floyd / Gatti = 340K (Again....EXPECTED to beat down Gatti)
and before the Gatti fight....he was and HBO fighter.....if you are expected to beat down another fighter or if you are the heavily favored...why wouldn't people want to pay to see a "clinic"....easy answer...because you ARE NOT AN ATTRACTION....FLoyd fan's...please thank Uncle Oscar for your riches...I guess that explains why he has a 5 Fight Deal with GPB....he needs their name and promotional skills......DISCUSS?

Other than him there's only Pac. So it's him and then Pac in terms of draws.

Both were, DLH had never made that much with PPV's, Floyd and DLH helped each other...

Side note.....its a dam shame that Tyson is broke.....look at those numbers....and that was pre-dot com boom, when everyone and their mama had a "black box" with free PPV (and ****) and the real estate boom....RIP Exodus.
Keep your head up "Iron" Mike....

Oscar owns Floyd. Plain and basic common sense.
          End of.

I believe that this fight was the 1st time the "24/7" series was made, and how many cities did their promotional tour hit? This was THEE 1st fight that had so much promotion and marketing put into it...that if it did less than 2 mil, it would've been considered a dud (cuz the fight itself was). It was built up to be this "Fight of the Century" that everyone and their mom's wanted to see this....

I think 24/7 series helped that fight.... It was the first time in a long time that boxing was promoted correctly...

Not being a cash cow doesn't necessarily mean anything if you can easily get the cash cows to fight you.

                  24/7 help almost any fight.

I have to agree on the promotion of the fight though. The Press Conferences were awesome..
