This fight is close to a toss up to me but I'm picking Cotto to win it. Clottey lost a lot of points in my book for going into a shell against Margarito and using a hand injury excuse. And yeah, I know about Cotto being beaten into submission. I won't argue about that. I just think Cotto is more consistent with his offense. I also think both of these guys are a tad overrated. I've seen them fade at the end of fights. And I think the two best fighters in the division are Shane Mosley and Paul Williams if he's still able to make the weight.

You have to give Clottey his props for fighting Cotto on his turf. That's why like I said earlier in the thread a few days ago that it wouldn't break my heart to see him beat Cotto. It's just that he has to be dominant in this fight if he expects to win because it is likely he can't get a decision at Madison Square Garden if the fight is close. Also, didn't someone mention a few days ago that one of the judges is Puerto Rican?

i've said many times if Clottey picks up his workrate he would win this fight. He's a lot stronger than Cotto and has very good defense. Although he is prone to leave his head open when he tries to lean in and attack the body. However i dont expect him to up his workrate because i expect Cotto to bring a lot of pressure and outpoint him to a close UD. Cotto will bring careful pressure mix up in attackin the body and take advantage of clottey's minor cracks on defense. I would be shocked though if there is a KO and if there somehow is though i expect it to be from Clottey... Cotto UD though!
