He won't fight him because he doesn't put a stamp on his victories and he brings absolutely no money to the table. What makes people think Dawson can beat Hopkins? I just don't see it. Chad has got too many flaws that B-Hop would exploit. For one thing, even though Chad has good speed he isn't consistent with his offense on top of his lack of power. He wouldn't have the artillery to get any respect from Bernard. Hopkins would clip him continuously with sneaky right hands and rough him up on the inside with dirty tactics. Straight right hands are what Dawson is terrible at defending against as shown against Johnson who doesn't possess the skill set of Bernard. Chad doesn't strike me as mentally strong enough to handle that and it would be a TKO victory for Hopkins or a wide UD.

Good points, same reasons I think hopkins would beat him, even at 44 years of age. Some people act like Chad is god on this site. Look at his last fight and tell me he was impressive. Look at his fight with Johnson! Look at the times he was hurt/stunned/knocked down. He has good handspeed and some decent skills but he isn't elite, he doesn't have the whole package and somebody, one day will eat this kid up and exploit the hell out of his weaknesses. He is in rapidly aging division so he's been successful as a result.
