Bernard Hopkins is supposed to wait til 2010 to fight Adamek? WTF? Bernard aint gettin any younger. He should call out Dawson, fight Froch, or hang em up.

I hope he doesn't sit around until next year. His boxing IQ won't diminish but every1's body goes at some point...

BTW I think he could beat Dawson. Dawson's speed will present problems but Dawson aint a big puncher and has never faced a crafty sneaky fighter like Bernard...

Hopkins would beat Dawsons ass. He doesn't need to though because when he gets beat(and he will get beat because he's not that good) everyone will just say Hopkins would have crushed him.

People need to get off B-Hop's back for not fighting Dawson. I am baffled however why he turned a fight down with Adamek because that would have been the most lucrative fight for him out there if you look at all his options. If the guy wants to retire then I support that, but a selfish part of me wants to see him fight Carl Froch or Paul Williams. I may be in the minority, but I view Williams as a tougher challenge for Hopkins than Adamek, Froch, and Dawson. He brings all the tools to the table to give Bernard a tough fight, but I think Hopkins would still use his craftiness to pull out the victory. I am one of the few that views it that way, and the funny thing is Hopkins wouldn't even get any credit for beating him because people would come up with the size excuse.

Hopkins didn't turn down the fight, adamek did. Adamek didn't like hopkins offer of somewhere between $500,000 to $1 million.

Regardless of who turned down who both of these guys need each other for a big-money fight. Hops is my dude but I just think that he's shooting for the stars when it comes to the monetary demand of not just this fight, but other fights out there as well.

If chad dawson could sell more than 1,000 tickets, believe me hopkins would fight him. hopkins doesn't think anyone can beat him. That's why he fought undefeated calzaghe at age 43, undefeated pavlik at 43, moved up in weight to fight tarver at 40, etc etc etc. And in his mind he has never lost except to jones because he was too green.

The bottom line for hopkins is dawson isn't a big enough draw for him. Hopkins at this point is about the money, he's done proving people wrong. If he cant get that money fight, he's walking away plain & simple.

He won't fight him because he doesn't put a stamp on his victories and he brings absolutely no money to the table. What makes people think Dawson can beat Hopkins? I just don't see it. Chad has got too many flaws that B-Hop would exploit. For one thing, even though Chad has good speed he isn't consistent with his offense on top of his lack of power. He wouldn't have the artillery to get any respect from Bernard. Hopkins would clip him continuously with sneaky right hands and rough him up on the inside with dirty tactics. Straight right hands are what Dawson is terrible at defending against as shown against Johnson who doesn't possess the skill set of Bernard. Chad doesn't strike me as mentally strong enough to handle that and it would be a TKO victory for Hopkins or a wide UD.
