        Chad Dawson, he's nothing special.

A 40 year old Johnson nearly beat chad dawson, a Johnson that lost to every world level fighter he fazed @168 Fighters that calzaghe would have destoyed easily.

Kessler and Palle meet in court
Disagreement: Now the court determine how many options there are in agreement with Mikkel Kessler Pallet camp
How many matches will Mikkel Kessler continued boxes for Mogens and Bettina Palle, before he was a free man?

The controversy must now decide Copenhagen court because Mogens Palles and Mikkel Kessler lawyers in recent months has been unable to agree.

Pallet camp believes that Mikkel Kessler has signed a contract that binds him to the next three matches.

Kessler camp believes, on the other hand, the WBA champion, is a free man when he defends his title against Gusmyl Perdomo.
I can confirm that I am today (yesterday, Ed.) Has sent an application off to Mikkel Kessler lawyers said Mogens Palles lawyer, Niels Wegener, Ekstra Bladet.

          Career threatened
That means now that the parties can look forward to wearing a trial before a verdict. A case which could easily drag delayed because there are delays in the courts.

          - It's hard to imagine that the trial will take less than one year, elaborates Niels Wegener.

It will be a trial that has dramatic consequences for Mikkel Kessler prospective career opportunities.

Until a trial is pending, he can not box for other promoters. And it may actually cost Mikkel Kessler WBA belt.

          Not within the time
On the other hand he may well defend his title against the official challenger Gusmyl Perdomo. For the battle has Kessler camp agreed to Mogens and Bettina Palle must organize.

Yesterday was open for voluntary negotiations with Mikkel Kessler defense of WBA title. If no agreement is reached between Pallet camp and the official challenger Gusmyl Perdomo, the WBA purseoffer print.

This means that the highest bidder will be allowed to arrange the fight, but it will not happen within the prescribed time limit of nine months from the last title defense.

          Tired of the situation
Deadline is 25 July and a meeting between Mikkel Kessler and Perdomo can not become an issue until the autumn in September-October.

Mikkel Kessler believes there is only one option left, because he has the official title defense against Danilo Häussler 25 Oldenburg in October as the first of the three options. He has apparently also sank Spring Mads Larsen, even though it was a struggle, there was something and probably will never be realized.

          - I am tired of the situation, but I have given me much, but it has apparently not been enough, Mikkel Kessler previously said to Ekstra Bladet

Wow, Mikkel is in a tough spot. It is a bit sad considering he is the best Super Middleweight in his division and would easily handle Froch. I hope he gets everything sorted out with his promoter as his career could be in peril.

              Me to
But Mogens Palle however is a ruthless *******, who always writes in an insurance policy in his contracts with his fighters, to make sure they don't walk out on him.
The terms have been different, but the outline pretty much the same:
If the fighter breaks the contract with Palle, he will suffer a quarantine from fighting (usually 2 years, only starting when the fighter is no longer ranked in any of the federations), and cannot sign with another promoter until after the quarantine.
This is exactly what happened to Mads Larsen. He walked out on Palle, had to do the time, and is now struggling to get back on top, while he wasted his prime in quarantine.

So for the young fighters in Denmark, you're pretty much screwed, 'cause there is only Palle, and if you don't like his terms, well... Don't sign the contract, and don't get any fights

So was Tarver in the first fight...

Saying that someone was 39 when someone is criticizing someone for fighting "40 year olds" is kind of a lame defense.

I mean, really, do you think they only have a problem with a fighter after their 40th birthday and would think that a 39 year old is a spring chicken?

Anyway, TS, there is a double standard from some people... They are called idiots.

I don't have a problem with ANY of the opponent choices on either side. I think RJJ is the weakest choice out of the 4 senior citizens Dawson and Calzaghe fought, but that is made up by the fact that Hopkins is the best by far.

Hopkins landed the cleaner and more effective punches. Effective punches score far higher than punches with no weight behind them. Plus a very high proportion of Calzaghe's punches missed or were blocked, and they are not scored. No serious boxing analyst didn't have it extremely close. You're completely delusional if you thought it wasn't very close.

And I'm a Calzaghe fan, and British, BTW, before you pretend I'm a sore American. I scored it to Calzaghe by one round, but it could have gone either way.

Hopkins clinches a lot in nearly every fight. And he landed by far the most solid punches through most of the fight. And it was a 43 year old Hopkins. A prime Hopkins would have had twice the stamina and would have won, unless Calzaghe had fought at a far higher level.

And beating the **** out of a badly faded, if not shot, Jones is certainly not something to be proud of, any more than Berbick should be proud of doing that to Ali. The best you can say about it was that it was a glamour fight for him to bow out on.
