Tarver and Johnson are in their forties but they are both still good fighters even though they ain't at their best especially in Tarvers case.
Hopkins even at 43 was and is still a very good fighter even though he is no longer at his best. Jones was clearly past his best when Joe faced him though.
A fighters prime isn't based on what age they are, Calzaghe and Hopkins for example didn't really hit their primes till they were in their thirties.Comment

Joe has never been in a huge fight in his life.
Both the Jones and Hopkins fights BOMBED.Comment

Can you imagine if Holmes had clowned Ali like he was actually accomplishing something great????????
Or if Willie Wise showboated the ghost of Chavez like he was beating a prime version.
Joe showed what kind of a *****-style man-she he really is.Comment

How can anyone compare a 26 year old up and comer to a 37 year old retired fighter who left the game beating a shot Roy Jones? There is no comparison, especially when you consider the status between Joe and Chad at their respective fights with so called geriatrics. It is Joe fans like this thread starter that give him a bad name.Comment

Good point. Maybe he was too busy clowning on road sweepers and cab drivers.
No thanks, I don't suck turds.
Oooh, you hardcore little gangsta, you! I'm a "punk mofo". OK, thanks for letting me know
Eubank was slightly past it, yeah, but still put up a very difficult fight. After Joe, he went on to fight the only guy who ever beat David Haye, Carl Thompson. IMO, he won the first fight, but the second was stopped because of a cut. Eubank, as you saw from the Calzaghe-Eubank fight, was still a dangerous opponent. Use your eyes. Eubank's problem was he was scared of truly hurting anyone after the Michael Watson tragedy. Regardless, watch the Calzaghe-Eubank fight and tell me that he wasn't still a worthy opponent for a green 25 year old who, 2 weeks earlier, was preparing for a completely different opponent. The Eubank fight was a GREAT win. Not just good, but one the very best on his resume. Joe to date still says it was his hardest fight. A "past it" fighter doesn't make you unable to walk for a week and have to be carried to the bathroom to take a piss.

dawson has FOUR fights, but TWO of the four are rematches- 1 rematch he was contractually obligated, the other rematch has been in demand by a lot of posters on here.....even tho dawson clearly won the first fight w/ johnson, and will beat him easier the second time, b/c he'll fight smarter.
Are you a clairvoyant? You may as well say "Mayweather retired because he was afraid of Cotto", or "Pac fought a washed up De La Hoya because he was afraid of Marquez". People do say both those things, too, but I find it hard to retain my respect for people who post stuff like that.
They were better representations of themselves than Jones was, but they were not better representations of themselves than Hopkins was.Comment

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Tarver past it when Chad fought him?

Only a hate-blinded ****sucker would type such asinine garbage.
You should be ashamed to even go there..but it's obvious Joe's *****-style fans have no shame.
He even fought the LOSER of an elimnation bout between Echols and Brewer..
Nobody in history has punk-out that hard.
Slappy defended his title against Tokker Pudwell when the SHOT TO HELL Thomas Tate pulled-out.
Now you tell me nuttsucker..
HOW THE **** DID THOMAS TATE DESERVE A TITLE SHOT???Comment
