Good Post; diet, nutrient & protein intake have a lot to do with it. Chicanos (Mexican/Americans) tend to be a bit larger than our border brothers from Mexico. The majority of the males in my family are well over six feet tall and weigh 220+ pounds. They're all Chicanos, born and raised in Cali.thats pretty debatable. you could say Julio Cesar Chavez at 140, Duran at 135, and Arguello at 130. you could even throw in names like Antonio Cervantes and Carlos Ortiz too, which would be legitimate arguments.
but yea, its not a 'dominate' sort of thing.
oh, and no offense meant to Mexico, but overall they probably dont grow up as healthy as Americans. as in their getting enough nutrients and everything. and less healthy upbringing=smaller person, it least from the medical studies Ive read about.
And you got it right about the best fighters from 130-140.Comment

South Koreans and N Koreans are the same people...but S Koreans are about 3 inches taller than N Koreans....because of the malnutrion....Comment

I cant speak for Mexico in its entirety. But in my family tree….we are getting bigger after every generation. My Father is 5”8 small frame. Me and My Brother 5”10 and 6 feet medium frame. My nephews are born fairly big and healthy (at around 8-10 ibs), I would not be surprised if end up taller and bigger then our generation.
I wont be too long before, you start seeing more active Mexican W.W. and M.W. boxers.Comment
