All does not seem to be well in the relationship between world middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik and his promoter Top Rank. Youngstown's favorite son has been with Bob Arum since he turned pro, but cracks are beginning to form in their once solid foundation. [details]

Top Rank had matched him well up to the time he won the titles. Since then, it's been poor matchmaking:

- Hopkins was a bad style match for Kelly in an unnecessary fight
- why Sergio Mora?
- why not Abraham?
- why not Sturm, Wright or Williams?

Kelly had to fight the mandatories Rubio and Lockett to keep his titles, but there's absolutely no good reason to fight Mora.

I am not exactly sure what is going on either but will try and get some insight thru my contact (Ray Mancini) he is better friends with both of them and should be able to shed some light for me. Can't guarantee anything but will try for all those who are interested.

You also gotta remember..PAV wanted to get the cake fighting hopkins.. he went for the money thinking Bernard would be an easy fight.. In fact that fight was probably the biggest at the time.. AA is still unknown outside this here forum.. PWILL probably should have accepted the fight with Pav at the time, but Pav knew the money was the hopkins fight..

I just hope that Arum now makes a good fight.. not a fight that has Pav fighting Mora

They are still gonna have to fight Mora its already been said. So regardless we are gonna see Mora get KTFO but, just hope the fight after that is with queen arthur, cause arthur needs that jaw readjusted.
