The American Eddie Cotton will be the referee on the june 13 fight, where Miguel Cotto will be defending his welter weight crown against Joshua Clottey, on Madison Square Garden,NY.

According to reports, The NY boxing commission, also has the 3 judges that will work on the fight- one of them is Don Tralla- and none of them are Puertoricans which is anticipated for the people who manage the "Cagueño" but born on Rhode island to object this designations in order to get at least one of the judges to be a "Boricua".

Clottey, how relinquish his FIB belt, and who has a record of 35-2 with 20 KO, is a resident of the Bronx, NY.

This is going to be interesting, on one side is the fact that Cotto is practically fighting at home and in the other is the fact that Clottey is from Ghana but fights out of the Bronx, NY. So the fact that there is no representation for Cotto, even if it wasn't "Rican" but at least Latino......is a "BIG" issue...specially when we all know Cotto will be looking to "out box" Clottey.....UD.... This will defiantly change come fight night....Bob Arum has his ways!

Why should Cotto have a PR judge?

It makes sense to have judges who are not from PR or Ghana.

Get all the judges to be white and or asian or a mixture of the two. Then no one can get the race-card thrown at their in this fight since its such a big fight theirs no reason to have judges that are the same ethnic background as the two boxers.

Non biased Judges should get the nod. I doubt Clottey is the kind of guy who has the power to get a close decision in NY anyways

What happened? I don't want to read Spanish right now my eyes are in pain and it takes a lot of squinting to read spanish since it's harder than English. Can some one let me know what's going on here?

Never mind i just noticed it's English.

It's like going to trial you have to pick your jury and if you were smart you'd like to see one person that looks like you.

Poor OJ all white women jury and was found guilty..
