Manny - My Opinion

lol, exactly. PAC's flaws have been there ever since. Even Freddie said before, you can't completely change a fighter who had already formed those bad habits a long time ago.
The fact that PAC has shown improvements of late, is remarkable in itself, considering A) When Roach started training PAC he was already in his 20's B) he's showing improvement at the age of 30-31!
It's basically impossible for PAC to turn into a Floyd when it comes to boxing mastery, too late for that. PAC is not a boxer PERIOD. Fluidity wise, well, that's just a natural ability that Floyd's been given.
Since you pointed out Floyd's ring intelligence and boxing ability, well, just in case you've been living under a rock. Floyd Jr comes from a long line of boxers . Unlike PAC, Floyd had a huge leg up on the competition since his Dad and uncles were pro-fighters and the fact that he's naturally gifted.
Now that I've said my piece, I don't think it would be a huge upset at all if PAC beats Floyd Jr.
What's Floyd gonna do when his legs start to betray him when it gets to the mid-to-late rounds, no more natural gifts to back him up, he only has his heart to rely on and PAC turns on the turbo boosters, huh, what Floyd gonna do when his beautiful fluidity changes to huffin' and puffin'. And boo-ya, that one-dimensional left-hand does it again!Last edited by We want Floyd; 05-25-2009, 09:53 PM.Comment

Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter, and he's proved this in his comprehensive anihilation of ODLH, and Ricky Hatton within the last year. His victories over David Diaz and JMM were also great fights where he displayed a lot of skill.
But there is a clear and obvious degree of delusion among his more fanatical fans, MANY of whom post on this website who seem convinced that after his last few fights he has been elevated to some kind of place where he is untouchable. He wins fights, but in MANY moments in his fights he has lousy footwork, loses his balance, throws wild punches, and displays a general lack of grace that someone like FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. could and will exploit, brutally.
PAC is a CHAMP, and I respect the hell out of him as a fighter and a champion of great humility, so I don't want to hear all of you crazy pac fans start your ****ing crazy defensive bitching, and just try to use your heads.
Your boy is a great fighter, he's aggressive and he's pulled out some good wins in the last year - but you're ****ing delusional if you think that the Manny Pac who beat ODLH and HATTON can beat Mayweather. Full credit for those victories, but the opponents he was facing had nowhere near the timing, boxing intelligence, and speed that Mayweather has and UNLESS Manny and Freddy Roach can improve Manny even more, WHICH THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO DO, I'm not saying it's impossible, but unless they really improve some parts of his game you can and should expect Mayweather to pick Manny's bull-headed aggresion apart with clean shots all night.
Funny how quick people elevate their fighters after a couple of good wins. Reality always brings ya back down.

Styles make fights and Mayweather is a tough one to crack. Pac has great timing and great feet. He is not nearly as out of balance as he used to be and his feet are quick and allow him to get angles. Mayweather will be a very tough fight, in that I do agree with you but to say Manny has no chance is wrong.Comment

The fact that I only mentioned MAYWEATHER, DLH, and RICKY HATTON is because they're the only three fighters among which the entire group has comparable fights you ****ing idiot.
Manny Pac had great wins over Barrera, and Morales as well. But don't expect me to think that the kind of trading that he withstood in the FEATHERWEIGHT division is at all relavent when fighting a WELTERWEIGHT, the best of his ****ing generation.Comment

the way i see it is that pac is just not smart enough to beat pbf. pac sucks at adjusting and is very repetitive fighter making him easy to figure out. now if pac had the intelligence of marquez or pbf then pac will win easy.Comment
