Could definitely happen, but its not like a mayweather/pac fight is signed and delivered.
Who here thinks JMM can get a fair shake on the scorecards against Floyd?

Trading is risking getting hit and throwing stuff back, Mayweather doesn't do that. He doesn't throw 5 punch power combinations.
If I had more pts I'd bet.Comment

I thought you were a boxing fan, that's pot shot-ing btw, Mayweather hardly ever "trades" except in the last round of the DLH fight, and he didn't look to good doing it.

if floyd gets too aggressive against jmm he will get countered. floyd won't take the fight to jmm.Comment

For the record, if people paid attention to my posts in past threads I'm picking JMM to become the first man to stop Mayweather. That however, doesn't eliminate my curiosity about the shadyness of politics in the sport. I'm also a JMM fan but I am not biased. I had Barrera winning their fight by a slight margin, and even though I scored JMM-Pac 2 for JMM I had no problem with the decision going to Pacquiao.Comment

JMM has also lost a lot of fights that some people consider a "win" for him, So dont be surprise if he goes the distance with Mayweather and end up lossing it on the scorecard even if he deserve to win it.
And i also score the Pacman/JMM II to JMM after watching it for the first time 2 weeks ago.Comment

A response like this is why anything less for Mayweather is a victory for JMM. If Floyd wins by a controversial decision his stock is going to drop dramatically. He is fighting a guy many people consider past his prime, a guy who has fought at least 50 of his 55 fights at featherweight, and a guy who is making all the compromise where the weight is concerned. Like I said, earlier, I think JMM is going to score a mid-round stoppage on Floyd or at the very least, lose a decision competitively if Floyd is elusive enough to evade his punches. I can give you a breakdown of weaknesses of Floyd that JMM is going to exploit. Floyd has brittle hands and Nevada is making these guys wear 8 oz gloves and not the kind that provide good protection for hand brittleness. Also, JMM is a better combination puncher than Floyd. The guy has it all. He can throw uppercuts, show good footwork, a stinging left jab, good body punches, and an accurate straight right. Floyd also lingers on the ropes which is a no-no against Marquez. He was able to get away with it against less talented opponents but he won't have that luxury in this fight.Comment

People underestimate how overrated Floyd Mayweather really is. I'm not saying the guy is a total hype job, because that would marginalize the credit JMM would be getting for beating him, but people need to take this into consideration: I would pick Barrera, Casamayor, Diaz, and of course Pacquiao to beat the following guys on Floyd's resume in no particular order; Mitchell, Brusseles, Baldomir, Hatton, Judah, and maybe even the version of ODLH that Floyd won a split decision against.Comment
