He is a ATG, because to be a ATG, you need a resume and skills. FLoyd have great skills his resume not so much. So having him at anything between 45 and 55 is what it should be!!!!!!!!

He is an ATG, but he could be a bigger ATG, great skills which help him get up there and a pretty good resume... but the only thing that holds him back is his resume.

If he beats JMM convincingly, and then beats Pacquiao, and then Mosley or Cotto (or even both), it would be the icing on the cake and nobody could ***** or moan saying he has to fight so and so.

If he beat them 4 he would go much higher in the ATG list, even by just fighting them he would go higher... but nonetheless he is still an ATG.

Maybe at the lower weights but then again Manny Pacquiao achieved more at those weights and fought the better fighters...its funny because Mayweather is fighting the best super featherweight he's ever fought!!!

Mannys on my Atg list too, I just didn't make a topic about him because I didn't feel the need to since most people have on their Atg list too. Floyd and Calzaghe get the most hate on this forum in my opinion.

He's not going to rate too highly on my ATG list if he doesn't fight a few more very good names before retiring again. Currently, though, I would view him as a HoF lightweight champion.

I answered HOF but if you think about it, Mayweather has to be much higher than Calzaghe. I would say he's a legit ATG because of his fantastic skills, and his very good resume until 147, plus he did beat the undisputed Junior welterweight champ, a still good DLH( coming off a destruction of my boy Mayorga) and the linear( not that hard but still) WW champ: Baldomir.

However he's nowhere near Hearns, Hagler or people like that. He needs to beat Marquez, Pacman and either Mosley or Cotto. Mosley would be a better choice coz Cotto would give him a hard time.

TO me ATG really break down into tiers, the top tier is like the top 25 or so, pretty much every guy in this 25 could be argued to be the greatest, and not make someone sound like a fool, then maybe a transional 5 or so that are close. Then you drop to a 2nd tier which really for the next 40-50 guys you could pull names out of a hat to get order and not really be wrong, that is where I would put Floyd in that second tier.
