Why was Berto's opponent Urango chosen from a smaller weight division?

Juan Urango is a warrior, an exciting fighter and a strong puncher. For some reason Andre Berto's management and HBO, pulled a "Floyd Mayweather" and chose him as an opponent, despite his being in a smaller weight division.

Why was he picked as Berto's opponent? There are plenty of good fighters at 147 to choose from. Does having an opponent from a smaller weight division give Berto an unfair advantage?

Was Urango hand-picked to make Berto look good on TV? If so, I really hope their plan backfires, and Urango knocks him out!

Will Urango need to give up his IBF belt at 140 for this fight? I've read rumors about that. Seems kind of unfair to me...

Did Urango express any interest in moving up before the fight was signed? Either just generally or specifically for Berto?

He's just moving up because they offered him the fight with Berto.

Berto isn't the biggest WW. When they are side by side, the size difference will not be much. They are both specifmens. Its just one division anyway. Its not like urango is coming up from LW.

berto is still learning, and he's managed well, so they decided to match him up with an opponite that is dangerous, but not AS dangerous as other welters.

              Collazo deserves a rematch.

I wish Urango would stay put at 140 where he belongs. I think he would do well there. Instead hes going up to 147 and being used as an opponent.

Berto deserves more **** for this fight than he's getting IMO.

The second i saw it i thought it was bull****.
Berto is a champ he needs to fight contenders in his weight class ffs. I give him props for fighting Callazo, but he looked like **** in that fight and his flaws showed. I thought Callazo deserved a decision in that fight.

I think people are starting to get tired of Berto not fighting well known WW, there is little buzz surrounding this fight. I'm looking forward to it though, i hope Urango has a good showing.
