We really don't know, we haven't seen him in that kind of situation before, against Corley he just covered up until he recovered, against a better finisher, just covering up may not be enough. But as I said, we won't know until we actually see him hurt.

I think Marquez is going to have to not just hurt Floyd in this fight, but knock him out as well. This 5 fight deal that Floyd just made with Oscar might be Golden Boy's attempt to back door JMM. I may be wrong about this and I may be coming across as little unfair, but I just don't trust these Vegas judges. I guess another way of looking at it is that maybe they really do want a third fight with Pac and JMM. After all, Haymon and Arum don't do business with each other. But you would think that's where Floyd made his promotional deal with Golden Boy so Arum would have someone to deal with.

we don't know because floyd has never been in that kind of situation. the closest thing to that is pbf/jlc I.

If I had to guess, I'd say pbf would just do enough to win, he wouldn't go out of his way to take real punishment nor would he just give up and resign himself to take an "L".

definitely, JMM will have to KO floyd or dominate him. everybody is already looking forward to pac/pbf. JMM will have to be impressive and spectacular to upset pac/pbf.

good ****...end of thread...i thought the same thing too...those two little bastards high-fiving each other online claiming this and that...it kills me...floyd dusts cotto and mosley...cotto would be countered so easily by floyd and mosley would be tagged by floyd who would lead in the fight from round 1 to whenever mosley wants to give up and take the loss...mosley is so robotic, so stiff, fighting floyd is a cold does of reality...just watch and see...

This thread wasn't supposed to be about Floyd beating or losing to a particular fighter. It seems any topic about him somehow morphs into that. I was trying to get a discussion going as to what people thought of Floyd's ability to fight for a decision, supposing he's lost some speed in his time off. It was meant to see how, fans or detractors, viewed his heart and or potential in such a situation. I mean, you can hate the guy and still think, if pressed to fight, we'd see something special.

I think Floyd would roll back to basics, shoulderolling and hitting at some very carefully chosen points, if that didn't work he would take the fight. But I don't see him winning in fights against Cotto or Pacquaio. Question is if they are able to hit him enough, I can't answer that.
We can't say anything about he's speed yet, I personally don't think 1½ year affects him so much as people believe, anyways it's more his reflexes that makes him what he is.
