Makes no sense at all. How can you finalize a fight out of your weight class? Doing **** like this only leaves room for controversy.... Look at these threads... We cant talk about nothing but weight.

I would rather watch them fight than never fight at all.
If catch weights is what makes the fights possible so be it.
Catchweights are in right now. Who cares about a trinket. Not me.

You have obviously forgotten the real meaning of boxing. No its not the USELESS belts... You cannot unify a division by fighting out of your division. How can they be recognized. Im sorry to hear its good for you!!

Don't get me wrong my Italian bro, I hear you loud and clear but right now, we are not going to be getting any of that. No one is going to be unifying while these cats jump up and down and all around. Yes it is a very sad state and there is nothing we as fans can do about it. I am going to be optimistic and just hope that these guys fight at all.

The benefits of having the elite fighters meeting at a catch weights is that the fans get great match-ups instead of fighters just always staying in their division even when that division lacks another big name or big money fighter. As long as the fans keep demanding that superstars in different weight classes fight, a catch weight is the only way to fairly do this.

The alphabet titles have become a joke so fighting for one has become almost meaningless because of their ABC's ridiculous rules and corruption in their rankings. The fighter makes the title not the other way around and the alphabets need to remember that!
