Cotto fighting Pacquiao at 144 is not the same as Mayweather fighting Marquez at 144.

The difference is Cotto will struggle to make 144 and the chances are will be drained at the weight.

Mayweather will make 144 with ease, He could likely make 140 if he wanted so he isn't really giving Marquez any advantage at all where Cotto going to 144 is giving Pacquiao a big advantage.

If he signs to fight at 144 there is no diference, he knows what hes getting into.

a change to same day weigh ins is probably a good idea but until that happends thats the way its done and you have to beat all the top guys in your division regardless of weight and height to be the best.

Well thats why I thought it was weird this guy calls Mayweather a ***** when JMM called him out.

Nah, it aint as cut and dry as that.

First, Pac is proven at 140+, JMM aint.

Second, Cotto coming down to 144 will most likely be a hindrance. Floyd coming down to 144 will not, he can def make 140 without many problems. He said in an interview recently that he walks around at 147.
