I think he hasnt been the same since the mayweather beating. Emanuel Steward once said that if a fighter gets knocked out, he never reacts to a punch the same again, and I think that is true especially when you go up against a hard punching Pacquiao.

I've said this 100s of times but let me say it again; Ricky Hattons chin never was that good to begin with he got dropped by Eamonn Mcgee at British level. He was very wobbly against Kosta Tszyu, he was hurt against Collazo, he was hurt against Lazcano...(wtf). He's a vastly overrated British fighter who conned the British public into believe he's your "everyday joe" all the while just using his fan base for greedy negotiation tactics. Glad to see him go hopefully we can respect some truely great British fighters such as Carl Froch and David Haye.

He would have probably took the shots better and not have been stunned as much, as Derranged said he seems to have faded a bit... none the less I doubt it would change the outcome of the fight, I think it would of just resulted in the fight lasting longer to be honest.

The reason Hatton lost is because he went in all guns blazing and tried to brawl with a brawler a lot faster than him, he had no defense, no head movement and did nothing that he was taught in the training camp, against Mayweather he got away with it a bit more because Floyd is more of a defensive fighter... but with Pacquiao being just as aggressive as Hatton but faster he was getting hit a lot more.

Great victory by Pacquiao, nobody can make excuses or take anything away from him...

The punch was a beauty and probably would've knocked most out but I dont think it can be denied that Ricky's punch resistance has faded badly.

This is a bloke who, 3 years ago, walked onto and through Kostya Tszyu's right hand to win the championship and fought as if he was immune to pain.

Fast forward a year later and hes clinging on for dear life against a light puncher like Collazo. Faded badly against Urango after a single body shot. Knocked out by Mayweather. Then shaky legs against Lazcano twice. Not to mention that Pacquaio hurt him in the first round with almost every punch, the knockdowns werent from the hardest punches.

I've seen him take a few hard hits in the past and manage to recover, but that shot from Pac was lethal. Who knows if the Hatton of old would have been able to have took it, I my self don't think so.
