mosley is a bigger name than marquez.

mosley fight with floyd would draw more than marquez fight.

marquez is just a tuneup. floyd is talking out of his ass again.

after that when kostya came back from his semi-retirement , floyd's people and kostya's people were talking about a fight but kostya decided to take the bigger money fight in hatton. if kostya wasn't mugged in england , maybe the fight would have happened.

baldomir was not more deserving of a fight though. margarito had been the #1 contender at welterweight for years. baldomir was nothing special. judah just laid an egg.

floyd should have fought freitas and casamayor though. joel and acelino was right behind floyd and diego at 130 for a couple of years before floyd moved up to 135.
Castillo was a bigger risk than Freitas and Casa imo

Also wasn't Floyd having trouble making 130, he also gave Jose an immediate rematch which was risky as was facing the south african power puncher ndou

If Floyd fought Margarito he would be ridiculed for not fighting Baldo

Another thing which pisses me off is how Oscar and Hatton are seen as cherrypicks from Floyd and seen as merely financial decisions, they were risky fights

Oscar fight was absolutely about money, though I did consider it risky at the time. Hatton had already been exposed at 147 by Collazo and said it was not the right weight for him to be fighting at.

yeah that's why it's okay. you can't fault floyd for not fighting casa and acelino because he fought castillo next.

i don't think floyd would be ridiculed for fighting marg. marg was #1 for a few years. he'd still have to fight baldo for the lineal/ring title though.

fighting zab was a bad idea but i guess they already planned it. instead of zab and baldo , he should have just fought marg and baldo. it's not like zab was big money anyway. marg would probably do better ppv sales because he's mexican.

oscar and ricky wasn't cherry picks. you can't turn down fights that make that kind of money. that's just ignorant. those fights were still risky but obviously not as risky as cotto and marg imo.

what hurts him a lot is he retired after those fights. if he had fought cotto or marg after those big paydays , all would have been forgotten.

I don't think any fighter in the sport would turn down Oscar and Ricky

Those were the lottery tickets in boxing pre Pac, now its probably Floyd and Manny

Anyway i have a feeling that Floyd - Mosley will be happening later this year so we'll see if he can cement his legacy at 147

                  my guess?

after marquez , floyd fights shane.

                  pacquiao will fight cotto.

                  winners fight each other.

golden boy and top rank makes tons of money.

                    pacquiao-cotto , mayweather-mosley.

if pacquiao and mayweather both win , superfight next year to unify 147.

if cotto and mayweather wins , they unify 147 and pacquiao fights marquez for pacquiao's 140 title.

if pacquiao and mayweather both lose , cotto and mosley unifies 147 in a rematch while pacquiao and mayweather fight for pacquiao's 140 title.

cotto , mayweather , mosley , marquez , pacquiao......ALL golden boy and top rank fighters.

                    money for everyone.

                      The only obstacle is weight

Roach is adamant that Manny has grown into a JWW and that he doesn't belong at WW

Will Cotto make the necessary sacrifices to get the lottery fight with Pac
