The way I see it, they look at possible opponents with a huge backing, a big fan base to make the fight easier to make. Floyd is the only brodah with that kind of fan base. Even a great boxer like Shane, who's resume' is a virtual who's who, doesn't have that kind of fan adulation that he could bring in the negotiating table. He said they (Margo) sold out Staples Center with more than 22K boxing fans, but they are predominantly Mexican or of Mexican descent...

Yes he is, He has more pop in his punches, better footwork and faster hands. He goes in for the kill. Floyd runs and pot shots. The reason pacquiao is more exciting is because he showcases his skills throughout the entire fight which is what floyd is reluctant to do

I'm with you man but Pac at this point should fight a legit
African American boxer/fighter before he retires. It's not
about being superior. Manny has accomplished a lot in his
career and looked spectacular doing it but definitely should
fight an AA to top it off.

You don't have to be American to be considered Black.

Guzman is just as black as anyone else here in the USA. He just comes from a different country. Latins have mixtures of Africans as well, so those with african heritages and of appropriate skin are black.

****, I'm Puerto Rican and dark as ****. I have african heritage. Guess what, I'm ****ing black. When I fill out those census documents, my race isn't white; it's black and my ethnicity is PuertoRican.

I'm here in Peru for work, and there is a segment of the population that are blacker than anyone I've ever seen in my life. Just as black as people from the homeland. And they are black. Simple as that.

So you can call it what you want, Black American-African American, Black Dominican-African Dominican or whatever. The only difference is the country your from.

And in regards to this article...it was mildly contradicting but the truth is, there was really nobody viable for Manny to KTFO during his reigns there. He fought better comp with MAB, Morales and so forth and so on. He's now in a realm where Mayweather Jr resides. And provided that May wins in July, all indications are that they are throwing down. And since May is the best there is; it would make all arguments null.
