  • No, the guy that brought that up in the first place is full of **** and is an idiot, it doesn't matter what skin color the fighter is... in fairness, while Pacqiuao was fighting there were not really any good black fighters in his weight division (without trying to sound racist).

The guy that said he ducks black fighters is full of **** and is a complete *******, it doesn't matter what there skin color is or affect the outcome of the fight, it is skill that does that.

    • FIRST OFF, Guzman isn't black he's Dominican ,I thought Jackson said from the states. If we want to name fighters with DARK skin lets just call every latin american FIGHTER BLACK. .Second who are the AVOIDED LB for lb black fighters that were around as Manny moved up.Did someone have the NERVE to mention Zahirr Raheem ,the guy won ONE BIG fight in his life, and for 39 year old Campell who has already been ko'd by Peden(FOR PETES SAKE),he needed cuts ,Don King, and his head ALL fight to get by Juan DIAZ.Its not Mannys fault that there were NO GREAT (hardly good)fighters that were African American at that time.Lets flip it ,the same CAN BE SAID ABOUT MAYWEATHER,I don't see ANY besides a shot judah on his resume.ALL OF BOXINGSCENE GOES QUIET!!!Please don't make me laugh and name unranked fighters like 37 year old Sharmbe mitchell.Henry brussells,or Demarcus (NEVER WINS A BIG FIGHT)Corley.

I hear you. I mean, Manny may not be avoiding African
American fighters but I'm sure someone on his team is.
Or it could be the factor that there wasn't no money
in it for him to fight Guzman or Campbell BUT he has
NO legit African American fighter on his resume?
This is Boxing, he needs that look and I think it
          is undeniable.

          • what more can you ask for manny? to kill someone to establish himself as a great fighter? to beat a heavyweight? he had given zero chance to beat ledwaba a BLACK FIGHTER whom he demolished in 6 rnds, he defeated eliecer julio a black american in just 2 rnds.. had given less chance to beat barrera, morales, DLH.. now you're still asking for more??? reading this article is just like reading all the excuses after pacman beat these great fighters.. now they are talking about guzman mayweather judah blah blah blah.... the good question here is: What would pacmans's haters excuses will be after pacman beat these ones.. but then again, those will be another old stuffs like age, weight, prime, dehydrated blah blah blah.....@$#%@#&^$&^#

Both Floyd and Pac at some point had to decide if they wanted to be the best, or just richer. Everyone has their own opinion as to what they chose.......

Unfortunately, we don't have a say to what they'll do or who they fight Terry. All I can say is, if Pacman settles for something "less" (Zahir Raheem or a Soupy fight), like 2 more fights with Morales, a rematch with both Barrera and Marquez, a Hatton fight and a circus show with Oscar, we still got our money's worth. He's still the best **** for our buck in boxing...

              • this thread is bull****, there wernt any good black fighters at that wieght, and pac was busy fighting 2 wars with barrera, 2 wars with marquez, and 3 wars with moralas, mexicans are usually small people, which is the reason for this, he'll probbably end up fighting floyd, so there you go.

idk how this thread got to be 29 pages, its ******.

Well, he may have over-simplified it a bit, but his point I think is more about the style matchup than the skin color, and in most cases (not all, but damn near), the style that would give Pac the most trouble is the slick movement, angles, and footwork that is most often associated with African-American fighters in the lower weights. I dont see it a solely a race thing, but I understand the stereotype. I mean in all honesty how many Mexican or white fighters in the lower weights would you describe as "slick"?
