Adamek vs. Gunn To Happen, July 11 in Newark

No disrespect to Gunn, he's an honest pro, but his 1-round obliteration versus Enzo Mac was one of the most embarassing mis-matches I've ever seen. Gunn had nothing and his record reveals his limitations. He seems like a nice guy and I have no agenda against him, but this is so bad it makes Joe Calzaghe vs Tocker Pudwill look like Tyson vs Holyfield.

I'm an Adamek fan, but he's ripping off his loyal and brilliant fans with this absolute disgrace of a fight. He's been avoided a little, yes, but this fight is a waste of time.

But hey, sounds like his fans just like to support him no matter what, and I respect that...I just want them to get something back for their money, instead of a pointless blowout.

I think Adamek would prefer that too...

But Showtime and HBO rejected Johnson-Adamek, and ShoBox rejected Godfrey-Adamek.

It comes down to TV executives' decisions and money for fights. Don't blame Adamek, he wants to fight the best. Sadly, it's not up to him.

I hope he goes to Europe fights a top cruiserweight like Fragomeni or one of the Sauerland boxers.

icetea - i am also a Adamek fight and the reason that he took this fight was that this date was available and nobody else wanted to fight. Adamek said that he wants to keep busy and I agree with him completly. ofcourse it would be nice to see Adamek HOpkins/Johnson fight but more then often now all is dependent on TV.Cheers!

Adamek cant seem to get any luck these days. I say he rematches Cunningham who really wants this fight which is pretty obvious with him showing up at adameks fights. He would most likely get more money for that then a fight with Gunn.
