If that isnt calling someone out, and showing you want to fight the best, i dont know what is. Without a doubt, by him mentioning names and saying hed fight them at 147, thats calling them out. There is no seperate definition, you mention a name, you call them out, period.

Cotto has always shown minimal interst in a fight and so has Floyd.
The shane fight seems like it will finally get off the ground now with Shane calling him out and Floyds dad makeing it public that Floyd wants to fight Shane.

The floyd in this interview was more of a fighter and more hungry than the floyd of today, the one with all the contradictions.
Bro most of the time we don't agree on things but I respect our general opinion on most things because you seem to be reasonable. With that said you know that a call out. Saying i hear Shane will be coming to 147 and i'll move uop to fight him is a full fledged call out. People say Floyd ducked Cotto and Cotto never said anything close to that aggressive when speaking on Floyd.

If that's your definition that's cool, we'll agree to disagree. There's more fighters then that have called Floyd out than vice versa, correct? According to your definition.

I see your point man. Like I said I probably have a diff definition of a call out. A call out is something harris done to floyd and tarver to roy...hounding them to fight, showing up at press conferences calling them out, doing it countless times.

But for this video at this point in time, this isn't the floyd of today. He wasn't a superstar yet, and he wanted to prove himself. so he was willing to fight anyone to prove himself, and hats off to him for that. But let's be honest, the guy in this interview, is he the same floyd of today?

And if anyone answers yes, then the contradictions you see today would have you hesitant in believeing he means what he says. That's why you see people ****ting all over his hitlist and 5 fight plan, etc.

what does that matter? the point is, he did it, end of story. This is a slippery slope thats not worth arguing, its too speculative and most of all, its not pertinent to the argument.

For this one time I'll answer you since you seem so confident that you asked a good question that you posted it twice. Floyd has bigger fish to fry like your boy Manny Pacquiao. Mosley had bigger teeth to fix and bigger planes to fly in for vacation. He is one of my faves and all, but now Floyd is on top and he will treat Mosley like he treated him when Floyd called him out twice.

Fair enough, I'm not dis*****g floyd called out mosley in this video or prior. But im just not prepared to weigh a 30 second snip of an interview vs. a few years of questionable fights when he's been on top. Actions speak louder than words to me.

And youre right it is a slippery slope. My point is the mayweather in this interview was great in the sense that he actually wanted and was willing to fight the best. the mayweather of recent has not.

I have not seen the usual NSB Mayweather detractors in this thread yet....but when Shane calls the guy out they make a HUGE DEAL..but as CLEARLY evidenced by this video, him calling Shane out means NOTHING...and these guys parade as if they are FANS OF THE SPORT. If you were a FAN OF THE SPORT then you would be a MAN and be real. But the BLATENT hate for May for doing something, when MANY OTHER FIGHTERS DO THE SAME EXACT THING AND GET PRAISE is sickening to me AS A FAN OF THE SPORT.

Yeah man I agree with his opinions and he's very unbiased, When he does not agree with me he disagrees in a respectful way. But you are right, I can't see how anyone would dissmiss this as a legit call out on not only public Television, this was a legit call out on a post fight interview on HBO.
