But the honest truth is, although Wlad has beaten a lot of very good heavyweights during the past ten years, he will deserve absolutely no credit for beating a bum like Haye, a natural heavyweight who fought at cruiserweight for years because he knew he can't take a heavyweight punch.

Ideally, Wlad shouldn't be wasting his time with a bum like Haye, when there's more deserving opponents like Arreola, Chambers and Povetkin. But he felt he had to respond to Haye's low-class insults.
You really are being pathetic. You're well aware that I don't dislike Wlad at all, still less hate him; and although I do find him boring to watch, I have frequently defended him in these forums against people who under-rate his skills and boxing ability. I have also frequently said that he's a nice person and a good role model, and that he is deservedly the strong favourite to beat Haye.

And your definition of "nuthug" seems to be "anyone who doesn't irrationally hate someone who Tunney hates". Which is ridiculous, and childish in the extreme.

Until he fights and beats a known respectable boxer, Fury is just a big bum beating on little bums.

If he wins a match against someone who is decent, then ill look over in his direction and see whats up.

What's nauseating is people like you and Tunney constantly spewing hate all over what should be boxing forums and hi******* threads; and who are so blinded by your hate that you make endless claims that you and he know are completely untrue - when everyone else simply wants to have a rational discussion about boxing.

If you didn't insist on saying things that you know aren't true, then people wouldn't correct you. And if it takes climbing onto a high horse to avoid walking in your muck, then the higher the better.

No, but not only is he young he hasn't even been a pro six months yet. He does have a lot of developing still to do and experience to gain, and would lose to guys now he'll find much easier opponents in a few years time. No shame in that. In particular I think he still needs a lot of work on his physique; he'll never come in looking ripped but he needs more muscle (and to lose the remaining flab) to generate full power, increase his own ability to take punches and, done right, his speed as well. Above all, he has to accumulate rounds and learn how to box as a pro.

We can all look back on the career of someone like Fraudley and smirk, but you still have to get the balance right. Fury has plenty of time, and taking a fight a month at present he isn't wasting it.

no disrespect to Fury... but WTF was Belshaw doing? a "professional" boxer who went down EVERY time Fury connected a (semi) decent shot to the body? that is just terrible conditioning imo as he never actually seemed to connect fully.

sure i wouldnt of lasted longer, then again im 150lbs and don't box. That was just bad to see. Surely a step up in class for Fury's next opponent, no ?

he hasn't beaten anyone yet & I was very critical of some of his antics but he seems to be pushing for his management to get him good fights sooner rather than later,he's been active fighting every 4 weeks.they need to get him some solid American opponents.I really was impressed today.belshaw is nobody but fury had an outstanding body attack which is rare for a heavyweight that tall.2 things I didn't like thou was he threw a couple uppercuts from a distance which leaves him open for a big counter(think Holyfield vs douglas)& he has a tendency to arm punch & not set his feet to fire his punches with maximum power.these occational flaws can be corrected.by far his best performance to date.
