If the fight was held there they would both be very very rich men, because it would take mad money for that to happean. I may be wrong but isn't it Dubai that wants to be the sporting capital of the middle east (or was that Abu Dahbi)?

it would sell out but they should wait till the economy gets better to get even a bigger payday. Dubai took a big hit due to the recession...

Wembley Stadium, Madison Square Garden, MGM Grand, phillipines etc. are very good also...

They had this tenis match on what looked to be a helipad on top of one of the towers. It would be pretty ill to see a boxing ring instead of a tenis court on that, with that backdrop.

You sure about that??? Jetlag and climate acclimation have a tremendous effect on athletes regarldess of the sport. Mayweather has never fought outside of the country. You dont know how travel will affect him. Pacquiao meanwhile takes 16 hr plane rides between the philippines and hollywood 6x a year.

Advantage: Pacquiao

They just caught the sniffles during this recession. I love the MGM Grand, but I don't believe the MGM holds a candle to some of the buildings they have in Dubai. The place oozes wealth wherever you go.
