In Willliams' last fight at 147, which was less than a year ago, he iced Quintana in the first round. He hasn't done that to anyone at any higher weight, so you're right that he's a different fighter at 147 - a better fighter.

Dawson can't make 147, and has never even fought at that weight. Williams walks around at just over 150, which is lighter than most Welterweights do; he was fighting at 147 less than a year ago; and has been trying to make fights at 147 ever since, including as recently as last week; so your analogy is more than ridiculous.

Sugar Ray Robinson was beaten by Randolph Turpin in the first fight, does that make Turpin the better fighter? Do you rate Rahman and McCall higher than Lewis because of what happened in their first fights? How about Duran being outboxed by Kirkland Laing, do you rate Laing higher than Duran? Why do so many people apply double standards in the case of Williams? Everyone who has eyes knows Williams had an off-night in the first fight, but he destroyed Quintana conclusively in the rematch, end of story. And Quintana hasn't fought anyone since he got iced by Williams, except one pathetic journeyman who is ranked 293 at his weight by boxrec, and who even Jennings would beat easily, so he isn't even in the picture any more.

            You obviously can't read.:
After a dominating performance over Winky Wright, the once-beaten Paul “The Punisher” Williams has been aggressively hunting for a major name at middleweight, junior middleweight and welterweight ... Despite his best efforts, Goossen has been unsuccessful with enticing the big names, like Shane Mosley and Hopkins, to accept a fight with Williams ... “We aggressively went after Shane Mosley and Shane at this point of his career would rather stay idle," Goossen told BoxingScene.com ... "We have a lot of options. There are other fighters and champions out there, like Sergei Dzinziruk - the undefeated WBO champion from Germany. I’ve admired his aggressiveness in trying to land the fight. It would allow Paul to go down to a weight between where he recently fought [middleweight] and where he would like to fight [welterweight]."

So do you suffer from a mental disorder that only lets you read the bits that back up your preconceived ideas and makes you incapable of reading anything that doesn't?

If Goosen would put a little bit more effort and capitol in PW instead of sob ass stories and complaints, this bout would happen. PW knows that PBF will be a mega bout for him but he has to dominate who they put in front of him, collect belts at the multiple divisions, and create that buzz!

Until then he and his ppl should STFU. I love PW but all this talking and no fighting is getting on my damn nerves. How hard is it to move up the rankings in these divisions. He has a decent promoter who could buy his way into the line so wats the damn problem. How did he get margie's belt, became the mandatory!

Come on PW you letting your fans down.

That's fair, but Williams isn't on Mayweather's so-called "hit list", so he doesn't seem to have much confidence that he can win.

Williams is a much bigger draw than he was, now that he's beaten Wright; and Mosley isn't exactly a huge draw on his own either. Even before he beat Wright, Williams was a bigger draw than Mosley, based on the fact that Marg could have made nearly twice what he made against Mosley if he'd fought Williams instead. And Mosley IS on Mayweather's "hit list".
