Will Cotto's Body Shots Affect Clottey?

Thing is though, Cotto isn't a pot shot type of fighter. Clottey relies a lot on counter punching but that won't work to his advantage if Cotto moving around the ring. Clottey isn't the type to chase anyone down. Matter of fact, I can't recall the last fight where he chased anyone down or hurt or even KO'd them as of late.

I think Clottey is a very good fighter, but he simply doesn't put up enough offense to beat a guy like Cotto IMO

Margarito was pretty swollen after his fight with Clottey too, but not this swollen.

Clottey is very tough but if Cotto comits to the body they WILL have an effect, i dont think he stops him but defo effects him/slows him down

I don't think there's anything wrong with quitting and saying you had enough. It's a lesson called Humility. Everyone one time or another goes through it.

Good point, Cotto has difficulty hurting the larger welterweights.

Correction he had difficulty stopping MArgarito and Mosley but he definitely hurt both of them. Did you see Margarito's face after the fight. Wow! and Mosley was hit with enough hard shots to make him back track, bounce around and box for the middle of the fight. The thing about Mosley is he has a big heart, a great chin, very sturdy and versatile. The thing about Margarito is he HAS CONCRETE in his.......chin.

if cotto can land em ... they should be able to take some affect ... enuf of em should even be able to chop down a beast like clottey. prob is clottey's shell is hard to crack ...
