He is best at running his mouth, that's what he does. We just want to see him fight Pac, it's really that simple.

He's officially scared and I never thought I would say that about a pro fighter but he wants no part of Pac.....NONE.
Floyd does take the nails on a chalk board approach, but if you dislike him with a passion why pay him any mind. He is good at getting on peoples nerves because he drones on and is annoying but I would not call that good at running his mouth.

If you feel that way you should basically disregard what he has to say as it has proven meaningless, so there is no reason to give it thought or attention.

I don't agree on that last part but that isn't what this thread was about and you can disagree.

    • Floyd is a nitwit, it is what it is. He needs ghost writers to prep him with talking points, that he doesn't even execute properly when interviewed. When he goes off, using his own thoughts, he comes off as irrational and contradictory.

He is not even a smart fighter, it's a overrated claim. Fighters who study history and taped of past and present fighters are smart. What he does is use reflexes and impulse to adjust in fights with a boxing style his father drilled into him since early age. Without daddy, where would he be? Deep, deep inside, he rather be a Rap Artist or Celebrity who gets paid for doing nothing like Paris Hilton. Roy Jones is pretty much the same, both have daddy issues because Dad made them go to the gym and train when they were young. When all little RJJ wanted to do is play basketball and record Rap songs. Well he got to do some of that in his prime, and he got away with it too due to extraordinary abilities.

Okay. Who are your top 10 list of Boxers with great in ring IQ currently?

Disagree on that last part because if you do something for long enough you do gain wisdom and Floyd has been in that ring his whole life.

The problem comes from hubris which greater men than Floyd have fell into that trap. When you start believing you can never be wrong you will run into a problem when you are inevitably wrong, although if you can diagnose the issue it is possible to get out before it is to late but that is much easier said than done because no one likes to admit being wrong.

          • I agree with p4p. Floyd is smart, but he would be a steve forbes if he had no speed, long arms, training from a young age, great reflxes and timing, and stamina.

This goes for all top boxers, without being the fastest or strongest etc... they are all normal.

Exactly. Speed, power, reflexes, ect are their main biggest weapons. But if you were to take two slow fighters with none of those special abilities listed above, the one with the highest in ring IQ would win 90% of the time.

I think he knows this and he also knows he's not as quick and as strong as he used to be. Thats why he questions Pac. Basically, he's thinking how come Pac isnt slowing down or getting weaker? That in itself is kind of arrogant but it does explain why he's so reluctant to fight Pac.

Who said I don't like Floyd? You jumped to an amazing conclusion, I personally don't care about anything Floyd says or does outside of the ring.

I'm specifically speaking of what he has said in regards to this specific fight. He has contradicted himself and runs his mouth about how he's the greatest of all time, how he will fight anyone and then puts his foot in his mouth.

The bottom line is, as a boxing fan I just want to see this fight, it's that simple. If Floyd wanted to make this fight tomorrow, it would happen, you know this.

The man owes 3.5 million to the IRS, yet $50 million is peanuts? LOL

There is also no reason that Pac should take testing that no other boxer has ever had to take prior to the ridiculous demands that Floyd gave Mosley.

Floyd just likes to throw his weight around and there's two fighters he couldn't do it against because they were bigger stars, first was DLH and now it's Pac.

The difference is, DLH was never a threat....Pac is.

That last part was about Roy JOnes, not Floyd.

They're different fighters, Floyd has more defense to him than just covering up and using legs.

I just don't see him as a really smart fighter (he is not ****** either, ****** would mean coming in head first looking to slug when he has easier options), or a strategic fighter, he just does thing off the top of his head and is fortunate enough to get away with it, due to the style imposed on him by his Father. He is like a Freestyle Rapper who thinks up rhymes off the top of his head. That in itself can be considered as a brilliant ability, I suppose. Except it's more to do with athleticism than any real brain smarts.

I didn't say that, that is what this thread is about and you responded to my post which was specifically about people who hate Floyd with a passion. I never took you personally as that sort even if I don't always agree with what you say.

I said Floyd is full of shit, I don't listen to what he has to say. He is like a salesman always trying to sell something. I might put a bit of thought into it to try and understand why he says certain things and present a different side that what most people think to make people think but most never take it as such.

About this specific fight so much shit has been said by both sides that I don't see how you find so much fault with one person but whatever to each his own.
