People "fake" all the time in front of the cameras. PR stuff, putting on a front for the cameras.

Go through "The Muhammad Ali Reader" by Thomas Hauser and Ali is described by most as being shy and quiet when the cameras were away. Sugar Ray Leonard had a good public image while he beat up his wife and snorted coke at home. Sugar Ray Robinson had a public image as a gentleman while at home he used his wife and kids as a punching bag. People always talk about how different George Foreman is once the cameras are off.

Not saying that Pacquiao necessarily is like them, but I can't fully understand why in this day and age people take the "public image" of celebrities so seriously.

Don't worry about how Manny is in his personal life...He respects his fans, opponents, boxing, his people, and everyone else....Not to mention he puts on a great performance in the ring...So if he is a ****head behind close doors then so what, everyone is a ****head at times..But he has actually shown us that he helps ppl out constantly. So sounds like a good guy to me.

Ok, so a lot of people on boxingscene apparently believe everything they see...

Manny comes across as a very humble guy who never brags.

how the hell do you know for sure that Manny Pacquiao isn't faking his humility?! How can you be so sure? Do you have any proof? No, you will never have proof. how do you know what he is like behind closed doors? It's easy for anyone to show on t.v. that they are doing charitable stuff. a lot of celebrities do this. A lot of people even fake their religiousness. lol and using God in Boxing is pretty ridiculous... obviously, it is a very brutal sport and it is common sense also for everyone to know that boxing is not a sport God is happy with. But i guess it is a solution to a lot of boxers` financial problems. listen boxing is a very entertaining sport. but it is 2 humans FIGHTING each other, and HURTING each other. So, it is common sense that God does not like it. I mean come on humans were not put on earth to beat each other up! ...

tons of famous people fake their personalities, ESPECIALLY POLITICIANS.

so, please stop saying "oh manny is humble blah blah blah".
Nothing sadder then people so jaded by life that they have to convince themselves that nice and humble people must be putting on an act. That says alot more about you then it does about Manny. The world has plenty of good, humble people in it. I believe Manny is one of them. Another is Hatton, yet he gets the same "I wish he would stop with the nice guy act" from some of you jaded people beaten by life.

You want to have an "intellectual discussion"?
Your argument is essentially that his humility can never 100% be proven,
and on that weak basis you propose he's faking it???

There's lots of documented instances demonstrating Manny's flaws as
a person, but instead of founding your hypothesis on those, you choose
to engage in wild-ass, baseless speculation. That's just lazy, and utterly
                unintelligent

Red k headed your way, dumbass.

                h.

Depends what you mean by humble. He does say that he thinks he's personally, especially blessed by god.

I just think he's boring, personally. Mike Tyson set the bar pretty high as far as being interesting goes, but the fact is manny outside the ring is pretty boring.
