Then Arum, Roach, and Pac wouldn't look so pissed about Floyd fighting JMM.

JMM is the One guy people look to for who gave Pac the most trouble.

Floyd will try to make beating JMM look easy.

floyd says he's the draw, they believe it

what you and i both believe, he needs a tuneup and he needs more bargaining leverage when it comes to fighting PAC
      Agree...

Many factors to this game he plays.

I've never discounted JMM chances. I've actually talked about why the fight would be tougher than people are trying to lead you to believe.

It's the same with size: "Floyd is to big."
          No he isn't.

JMM gave Pac hell; and if he can give Pac hell than he can give a lot of skilled fighters hell. He should actually. If Floyd beats him decisively and by KO, that says something in Floyd's favor...which is the point to why Floyd took the fight and why Arum, Roach, and Pac don't like the thought of Floyd facing JMM.

For the KO: JMM hasn't been knocked out yet; that might be on Floyd's mind. JMM has been down, but when he goes down, he gets back up even tougher. Just look at the first fight against Manny. How does a fighter go down 3x and then get up and school the guy who just did that to you?
          That's JMM.

The only people down-playing the JMM fight are those that want to discredit Floyd and fear JMM may lose decisively; something Pac hasn't been able to do.

JMM called Floyd out and JMM and Floyd are ready to fight NOW. So instead of waiting until the end of the year to fight Pac (which is when Pac is scheduled to fight next), Floyd can get in 1 fight now. Floyd can fight JMM and Pac this year.

Pac beat Oscar and Hatton in a more dramatic fashion that Floyd and seemed to get a lot more credit than Floyd despite certain factors that favored Pac and not Floyd, for example: Floyd had to move up and face a healthy Oscar at 154 and wear 10oz gloves. Floyd then faced an undefeated Hatton...with 10oz gloves.
But, it was Pac that knocked out both Oscar and Hatton and in a killer way.
So, this will be used by Arum at the negotiation table. And the media will keep bringing it up.
            So how does Floyd respond?
By going after the Man that some say beat Pac and was never knocked out...JMM, who is also the #2 P4P fighter.
Pac slapped Floyd twice and Floyd wants to slap Pac back with a *****-slap back by knocking out JMM, something Pac hasn't done. If Floyd just schools him that will be a success. Schooling JMM and knocking him out will be the complete package. I noticed Arum, Roach, and Pac weren't too happy that Floyd was fighting JMM. I wonder why?

So, a victory over JMM will help Floyd trash talk against Team Pacquiao and should help him in negotiations by saying look whose scalp I have.
And it will help lure Pac into a fight with Floyd.

            Without JMM, Floyd has fewer chips in his hands and it also leaves Pac the option to fight JMM next instead of him {Floyd}
            I agree 100% with this

not about floyd EJ....JR's post went way over your head and has you over analyzing...not about floyd at all rather his opponent....no matter how hard you try to filibuster the argument, fact remains that JMM is a lightweight

If he is back, because JMM called him out, well, Mosley, Margarito called him out. Cotto expressed interest, and ect, ect, ect.

If he is back for the money, Pacquiao is the one.

FLoyd is a ***** for fighting JMM at 147, period!!!!!!!!!!!
Floyd, when he was active at WW, was 146-149pounds. Pac is 147+ pounds. Hatton is over 147 pounds. Many JrWW are 147+. Castillo when he fought Floyd was 147 pounds.

Cotto is over 147 pounds. Shane is over 147 pounds. Clottey is over 147 pounds.

Have same day weigh-ins and the truth will reveal itself.

                JMM is 140+

JMM went chasing after Pac. If they fought again at 135, when Pac fought Diaz, JMM would be facing off against a 147 pound fighter by fight-night. JMM moved up to 140 to continue his chase against Pac. If he got that fight, again, he would be facing a 147 pound fighter by fight-night. Whoever else he faces at 140/JrWW, usually comes in at 147+ by fight-night.

a lightweight who had every intent on moving up no matter what. a lightweight who wanted to step up to fight floyd at a higher weight. i dont care if hes a lightweight if hes showing up far beyond the 135lb limit on fight night, by doing that he shows hes more than capable fighting comfortable at 144 against a guy who wont weight much more than that on fight night. His argument is that JMM hasnt been tested above 135, id buy if it was against a guy who would be 10 lbs more than him on fight night, but he wont be and marquez wont weight much more than a few lbs less than flight maybe 3 or 4, MAYBE.

if its was ONLY about Jmm hed have never mentioned floyd or his weight or his size in the first place, nor would he bridge it and make it about how pac fought him so fair and sqaure

seriously RJ, im a fight fan that comments based on merit and regardless of the arguments you're trying to portray, whether factual or not, the total fights that JMM has had at 140, 143, or 147 is zero bro....zero...a 36 year old boxer with NO experience fighting above 135...a career-long featherweight...really...

QUOTE=pacman777;5330227]most of the top ww, mosley/ cotto/ margarito/ williams have been calling out floyd (the self proclaimed true ww champion), ignores them saying they are not prize fighters or cannot draw audience which is total bs. there is no way jmm is a bigger draw than any of the top ww metioned. why comeback and fight a lw when you have legitimate competion in the ww division?

he's picking on the little dudes, you and i know it
And that would mean Shane {steroids}, Cotto, and Margarito {plaster}, all who weigh 10+ pounds over the 147 pound limit are picking on small Floyd as well.

Floyd wants Pac for what Pac just did to his last two opponents. To get to Pac he needs JMM. JMM would never have been mentioned if Pac didn't fight Hatton and Oscar. Hell, I'm not even sure if Floyd would have came back. So people can thank Pac for that.

it was style and skill of manny, oscar was the same. the guy threw more punches than manny in the first 3 rounds, he tried but he knew he coulnd't do anything about manny. give credit to where its due

hatton was undefeated, but what makes you think that he did not improve after the loss? he was with sr. and said that he was in his best condition more than ever before the fight, the outcome was all manny. again, give credit where its due
                      Oscar was dead.

Hatton didn't improve after the loss. I discussed this before. However, I don't think it would have mattered that much more given Hatton's style and Pac's style.

well, if he knocks out marquez then i can excuses too right? but i wont, i'm not you. i give full credit to pac's win over hatton/odlh, i give pbf full credit as well for those wins
                      What excuses? JMM was smaller?

If you want to use that as a reason, you can. But he isn't that much smaller and great fighters are great fighters. In that case, the size difference wouldn't be that much. If it was Floyd vs. Jones Jr; great fighter vs. great fighter; yeah, that would be a mismatch.
That's why they can move up in weight and win. Look at what JMM just did when he fought at LW. Even Freddie said JMM got more powerful. That's what happens when you start to fill out and fight in a weight-class you don't have to diet down to much. If we had same day weigh-ins, things would change and fighters would be fighting in their real weight-classes...which means Pac and Floyd would be in the same weight-class and JMM would be one below them unless he decided to move up by eating a little more and filling out himself (which he is doing).

Unlike Pac who some how has been out-growing divisions in quick fashion, Floyd purposefully moved up to get to Oscar. He wasn't forced out because his body was growing. The only divison he was forced out of was 130
anyway, wouldn't look past marquez if i were you, if he can carry the weight successful, i think he will pull an upset
JMM is a Great fighter; anything is possible. Lots of factors are on his side to pull out the upset.
