Pacquiao refusing to fight Cotto at 145 and wants to fight at 140

Lets talk about how Pacman is refusing to fight Cotto at 145. Cotto is giving him a weight that is fair and a weight Manny made to fight Oscar De La Hoya fight. But no the dude and his camp wants Cotto (a natural weterweight) to go down to 140 and fight him. WTF? The last time Cotto had a fight at 140 was 2006 and he had problems getting to that weight.

The fight at 145 is fair.

because team pac knows (just like everybody else) that 145lb cotto is a way different beast than a 140lb cotto. Heck, Miguel cant even make 140, he just about dies when he tries, his body has outgrown that weight. Its not physically possible. Team Pac knows this.

        1) roach said the dlh fight at 147 was a ONE time deal
        2) pac officially weighed 138 lbs against hatton just a few weeks ago. when was the last time cotto officially weighed 138 lbs???
        3) roach never intended for pac to campaign at WW
        4) unless cotto agrees to 142, this fight shouldn't even be discussed.
        5) Cotto is a MW on fight night and Pac is a WW on fight night. IS THAT FAIR???

And you are in another thread saying Floyd is to big for JMM while only he getting 4 pounds and both will be inside the WW limit when they fight !!

you are right here about Pac and Cotto , at fight time Cotto is a MW the difference is 14 pounds not 4 , Pac will fight Floyd and this is a very fair fight , not like these big WWs that actually fight as MW wanting to fight guys 14 pound smaller than them .

It is fair because Manny made the weight at the end of last year vs Oscar and the last time Cotto had a fight below 147 was 2006. Is a lot easier to go up than go down in weight so asking Miguel to drop to 142 is pathetic by Manny and his camp.

Its irrelevant , when both step in the ring very close weight to each other , you need to grasp how manipulative the 30hr weigh-in and dehydration is , that weight is varible by as much as 10 pounds , follow a fighters actual step in fight weight across many divisions and it wont vary more than a few pounds .

classic example what did Pac weigh Fighting JMM on the night 147

What did Pac weigh fighting ODH on the night 147

What did Pac weight fighting Hatton on the night 147

Across three divisions 135 to 147 , he weighted the same actually fighting , now what does that say to you ?

Are you going to address this or ignore the facts as usual , I can give you other examples in Williams and Hopkins even Floyd and ODH , real weight is what you fight at not some variable concoction of dehydration that is manipulated to effectively cheat inside the rules !

                    Why is 145 fair?

That's only 2 pound difference for cotto and a 5 pound difference for Pacquiao.

                    143-144 is fair.

Regardless, who gives a ****? Who is currently #1 pound 4 pound champ in the world? Cotto or Pac? Ahh, that's right, it's Pac. Is Pac obligated to go up in weight yet again to fight Cotto? Absolutely not. If cotto wants a piece of pac, it's his obligation to meet him on Pac's terms, since Pac is one of the biggest stars in the sport. It's not Pac's obligation to meet cotto on cotto's terms.
