Is he seen as cowardly? Ive never heard that. Dirty? Yeah without a doubt. But he is also considered brilliant in the ring.

If Bernard Hopkins was white he wouldn't be a boxer. He only got into boxing to change his life after prison. He only went to prison because he was a black guy from the poor side of Philly, thus he started slangin.

If he was white. He wouldn't grow up on the poor side of Philly. Would have stayed in school and never went to prison. Which means he would never have boxed.

If Hopkins were white:

- people like bsrizpac and daggum would be on here making threads to ridicule him and trying to prove his opponents were bums.

- B-Hop wouldn't have been able to get away with fighting all those smaller men like De La Hoya and all the taxi drivers like Andrew Council, Steve Frank and William Bo James during his time at middleweight.

- Simon Brown would become as famous a name on boxingscene as Tocker Pudwill, even though he didn't have as good of a record.

- the Ring writers like Rosenthal and Raskin would be saying Hopkins should never be considered a great fighter, only a good fighter.

- the Bringer and Bhopreign wouldn't have him as their favorite fighter.

The guy is still on top at 44yo and has the resume of a god.

He could be called Bernard Bin Laden and you would have to accept he is not only one of a generation but one in a 100yrs.
