It is a business at the end of the day. Paul Williams hasn't even had his 1st PPV yet. The arena was damn near empty when he fought Winky Wright. What matchmaker with the mentality of most matchmakers ($$$$) are looking at Paul Williams like "Yea, he can make us a lot of money"?

He doesnt have to duck Williams. Williams is so much taller them him he could swing level and miss the tiop of Cotto's head by a good 4-6 inches. Come on fellas did you see how much taller Tony was then Cotto. Cotto is like the same height as PACMAN. They are both between 5'6" and 5'7" Cotto may have a little bit longer reach then PACMAN. I think Cotto is like 72 and PACMAN is like 67. Either way Williams is like 80 - 82 reach. Like I siad before Williams is a FREAK OF NATURE FIGHTING @ WW. All this talk especially of Cotto or Mosley ducking Williams is RUBBISH as my English friends would say. I mean Mosley just knocked out King Kong (Margarito) now you want him to fight Godzilla too. Cotto in my mind proved he doesn't duck people I mean after all he is fighting Clottey who in my mind is a true WW and everyone runs away from the negotitions table when Arum mentions Clottey's name. Just look at Cotto's resume in his fights at WW Judah, Mosley, Margarito and now Clottey. the word run is not in Cotto's vocabulary.....Lefty

I agree that it would be a Great fight at 147...A win against Pwill at this point in the Punishers career would be A great win on the Resume of Cotto...

I do think Pual can be beat at 147...cause I really think he hurts himself trying to make the weight...

That being said I don't think Cotto has the style to beat Pwill at 147...Paul's size reach work rate and solid chin will be hard for Cotto to overcome...But we really don't know how Paul is going to look at 147 anymore so who knows...

There is a lot of body to be beaten on Pdouble....Cotto might be able to hurt him to the body...but I never seen PW hurt other then maybe at the end of the Margs fight...and you know what Margs might have been packing.

All in all good fight...a better win for Cotto then Pwill...since it will just look like he beat up on a smaller man.

Exactly...If lets say hypothetically Cotto beats Clottey then signs to fight Pwill...Then Cotto will be Ducking the Rematch with Shane Mosley.

People will always find a reason to discredit a fighter...It doesn't go for Cotto alone...any fighter with a big enough fan base get the same treatment.

If u question Miguel Cotto's character then u have to question 99.9% of the fighters out theres! The guy fought quality operaters from the start and took on the feared and avoided Margarito, now he doing it again with Clottey. Williams would get a crack too if he was staying at WW putting together some wins, Its probably not a fight Cotto craves or particuarly wants (diffuclt fight, **** money) but his pride wouldnt let him duck anyone
