In the case of the promoter you could say they both employ the other; the boxer employs the promoter to make matches, negotiate deals, and promote them, the promoter employs the boxer to fight. But in the case of an adviser like Salud it's cut and dried, he's employed by Pacquiao.

But if he thinks he can manage 2lb but no more than that without being weight drained, and if he stands by that, I don't see how you can criticise him too much.
Then that's it. no need to argue about!!!

It's settled then. Cotto should fight the legit 147. And Pacquiao should fight those who's willing to his terms, that's all. No bull****ting.

Nobody is forcing Cotto to fight PAC nor does PAC is forced to fight Cotto.

      Is that clear?

Ok No. Pac is Arum's CLIENT. Arum's not some 9-5 worker with benefits and hour-long lunch breaks. There's a clear cut distinction unless you want to go into some metaphorical bull**** but as it stands, that's the relationship between both. Now how can he be responsible for whatever his promoter says? Should every fighter Don King promoted be held responsible for all the crap that he spews?

Pac's one of the few who genuinely doesn't give a **** whose put in front of him. If Arum is simply a puppet and he's pulling the strings, why the heck would Pac need hm for. That was a completely ridiculous statement, specially given the nature of the business and the people working around it.

            Cut it out.

Salud or any other advisers are there just to give some points. They are not the decision makers.

All are just testing the waters. They are fishing for the best.

If it won't work, then it won't.

A little contradicting there eh? You had a different opinion to a similar case with May-Marquez.

Cotto cant make weight. And Cotto has a better chance to beat Mayweather than Manny. Manny would also have much more trouble with Cotto than Mayweather. Look at the strength difference and Mayweathers lack of activity.

Great Point. Pacquiao would be forced to move up if he seeks MAJOR money. The WW division has all the biggest money fighters right now.
