What so the likes of Lewis, Calzaghe are crap when they step up vs opposition? probably gonna get some bull**** response about how Calzaghe only fights oldies. Oh wait he beat up a extremely overhyped piece of American trash in Lacy (next MIKE TYSON BROS!) and an "old" shot B-hop, who then went on to take out ANOTHER overhyped American fighter in Pavlik. As for Lewis well don't get me started..

Also Khan ain't hyped much he gets booed here sometimes but he has good skills and weak chin it appears. The times he got knocked down he was carrying ****load of upper body muscle and had skinny legs, Roach changed this somewhat. Will this help his chin? who knows but this guy will probably be a World champion untill he gets knocked out by a decent puncher. No one in England is hyping him as the next Manny Pacman except maybe fish eyed Frank Warren.

            Ok I think you're confused.

What Im saying is that Ive seen very little evidence of people actually hyping Khan and making a big deal out of him.

Most people in the UK were saying he was overrated and were predicting that he was going to get knocked out sooner or later. He actually got booed to the ring against Barrera.

Personall, I think Khan is extremely talented and has the potential to be a champion. But I know his limitations and its gonna take a lot of work.

                overhyped by who?

When he faced Barrera, he was boo'd when he was "home".

Seriously, guys like the guy who made this thread really don't have a clue.

First of all, how old is Khan? secondly, the only thing you have latched onto during this whole thread is how bad his chin is and that's he's over hyped.

The chin is bad, but what about the rest of him? Is that bad as well? Khan is easily one of the most talented prospects in the sport. That's all his - A 'prospect'. He's now under the guidance of world class trainer and he has a shot a world title coming up.

You can't just write him off because of his chin. That's ignorant.

Over hyped is a word only used by haters IMO. Khan is an Olympic silver medalist, he came back and turned pro, said he wanted to be the best one day and got an endorsement deal with Reebok. You call that overhyped? and using the media doesn't count. Brit fans were always skeptical of Khan(including me) - we didn't over-hype him from the start, but his talent speaks for itself. Watch some fights and not the just the Prescott.

I want nothing more then for Khan to succeed, he has no backing from the public, everyone writes him off. He deserves the glory IMO.

                    If anything, Khan is under-rated.

It's always Chin, Chin, Chin with him.

No mention of how everyone thought Barrera was going to end his career, but was in turn, probably put into retirement himself, even in front of a hostile crowd.

                    Just ridiculously ironic.

I think he lacks power and accuracy too, but both will gradually improve. and his chin cant get any worse. He's exciting to watch, thats why I tune in.
I dont buy the "****y" attitude he gets slagged of for. He's just confident and ambitious. Theres a difference.
He's young, give him time ffs.
