Because it's called PROFESSIONAL prizefighting. It's the man's job. A job which is governed by rules and regulations. He is expected to abide by and respect those rules and regulations even when things dont go his way because he is a PROFESSIONAL.

In any other work environment....even if you worked your ass off and put in overtime....if the other guy gets the promotion instead of you...you dont walk into the guy's office, and tell him you deserved the promotion more than he did. and you dont walk into the boss's office and ask him to re-consider. That ****'ll get you fired. Why would we treat a fighter's behavior any differently?

No one but you has ever claimed that David Diaz or Ricky Hatton are Hall of Famers. I very much doubt Casamayor will get in either, but it's you who's being ridiculous in pretending that anyone thinks that any of those three are Hall of Famers. And no one but you thinks that Pac's signature win is De La Hoya. Your posts consist of so much ignorance it's quite sad. You clearly know absolutely nothing about boxing.

There are no JMM haters in this thread, and AFAIK, no pinoys in this thread either. There are a lot of very ignorant JMM-worshippers in this thread, though, who are not boxing fans because they only capable of appreciating a single boxer, and show hate and disrespect for every boxer whose name is not Marquez; and because their boxing knowledge is pathetic; and you are one of those worshippers.

The sad thing is that idiots like you seriously damage the reputation of your favourite fighter.

He won't beat Vitali Klitschko either, so what, he's not a Welterweight and nor is he a Heavyweight. Calderon won't beat them at 147 either. Another ridiculous post.

Because boxing is a sport not a white collar office job, and all great sportsmen would want a rematch in those circumstances, bar none.

What gets me is the gracelessness of his fans though. Rafa's fans don't constantly diss Vasquez or mis-represent Vasquez's résumé, or pretend that Rafa won a fight that he very narrowly lost. But a lot of JMM's so-called fans have no class at all.

JMM is only saying PBF is the best so that if he beats PBF, people will consider JMM the best for beating the so called best.
PBF hasnt been fighting, so cant be the best as simple as that. JMM hasnt fought PBF so shouldnt call him the best. JMM might beat him in 6 rounds, so will JMM still think PBF is the best?

And what about this "RING" article http://www.ringtv.com/blog/682/marqu...re_increasing/

IT says that they agreed upon the welterweight limit for the fight... Is it just a rumour? Can anybody tell me?

Ha ha...thanks, Dave. You beat me to it. Anyway this "crybaby" thing is nonsense. It's like Rocky and Apollo...ha ha. And the truth is, this kind of rivalry is good for the sport. Why would anyone not support a rubbermatch?
