Marquez - "Mayweather is The Best, Not Pacquiao"

The way I see it, the winner of this fight will truly be #1 lb for lb. If Floyd were to come back after nearly 2 yrs of inactivity and decisively beat the man who Pacquiao has yet to beat convincingly, he deserves the title. And if JMM were to pull off the upset, that's just all-time greatness, never mind lb for lb.
A win by either edges out Pac for the #1 spot. Besides, we all know the winner will have a showdown with Pacquiao. (Unless Bob Arum ***s everything up.)
ask anyone else and it doesn't go that way,....u simpleton!!
'jmm can full off the upset' but still he won't surpass pacman in 'all time greatness'.............he lost to pacman, moron!!Comment

i love floyd as much as the next dude, but come on man.
I want floyd to prove he is the best as much as anybody. I believe he has the skill and talent to beat anyone out there and clean out the WW's. But the point is, until he does that and PROVES he is the best man by beating the best, Pac still holds the title of P4P just due to resume. Regardless of whether or not he is more skilled than Floyd. I'm sure PBF can do it if he wants, but Pac has the hunger to do what Floyd only says. And thats the difference between the two.Comment

Actually, name calling is the lowest form of argument. Try basing your claims on actual logic. I've already explained my reasoning. Both wins Pac has over JMM are highly disputed, especially the second one. Floyd was always rated ahead of Pacquiao until he retired. A win by JMM over Floyd puts him ahead of Pac.Last edited by Doc Holliday; 05-19-2009, 11:14 AM.Comment

I'm not discreding Pacquio I'm just saying I havnt seen any huge improvment from within the last year span in my opinion... I dont think he's much stronger or bigger, he came in for his 130 fight with JMM last year on fight day at 145 pounds and he came in against Hatton if i can recall I believe 149 so he's pretty much the same size going up two weight classes... He has the same speed as he had last year as well... So what exactly is the improvement he has had in the last twelve months? It's not like he showcased some new skill that he didnt have last year against De La Hoya or Hatton? The same Pacquio from 08 would of did that to Hatton as well... Yes Pacquio has improved tremendously over his career but his last two fights havnt showcased to me these "stronger, faster, more skilled" attribues you are speaking ofComment
