Yeah, but in 2002 and 2003 people were saying similar things about Floyd against lightweights and above like Jose Luis Castillo, Victor Sosa, etc. They were saying that if Floyd went up to 140 and fought Ricky Hatton or Kostya Tszyu he'd get bullied because he didn't have enough power in his feather fists to keep them off. These same people used this argument while promising that Floyd would lose to Philip Ndou and Arturo Gatti.
The truth is that he's just not a big puncher at pretty much any weight. He has to hit dudes right on the spot to hurt them. But the good thing for him is that he's one of the few dudes whose got the skills to land many quick accurate punches in most of his fights.
