is floyds power underrated?

how has it changed over time? i'm just curious.

after watching the highlight videos i posted in the other thread.

it seems as if he has a decent amount of pop.

i always hear people ****ting on his power but he looked pretty solid.

has his power faded as of recent? what am i missing?

No. He doesn't have a ton of power, which is fine because he apparently doesn't need it to win.

He's always had the same kind of explosive power, he can hit you hard and fast with a shot you never saw coming, but his power has had less effect against larger fighters as he's gone up in weight.

He doesn't have much power, it's the accuracy and speed which kills the opponents.

Even when he was at 130 people didn't really think he had huge power. He used to knock most people out at 130, but he was mostly just considered a good rather than a big puncher. At pretty much every other weight people have questioned his power. But ever since he went up to 154 and then come back down to 147 the argument has changed a little.

It used to be that people would say he was too small and was not even a big puncher at lower weights. Now, the argument is just that he's not a big puncher even though he's a "big welterweight." My opinion is that he's not a big puncher so much as a good puncher with a lot of speed and very precise and accurate placement of his shots. So, he could hurt just about anybody he just needs to hit them right, but isn't really a big puncher at any weight.

his speed seems to give him the ability to land the right types of punches to ko dudes. diego was pretty much looking directly at his hand and didn't even have a flinch response to it. he sort of just took it on the chin and then rolled around on the floor like he was on fire.
